Hello !
I said in the intro that The Legend Of Korra is really my confort show during these last days/weeks, and I needed that. This episode was clearly perfect for that. I love the memories episode because it's a good occasion to look back at what the characters were and how much they changed. And right there, the writers took that opportunity to explain a few things and consider their mistakes.
The one made with Mako who was used during three seasons only as a love interest for the girls, and was just making mistakes again and again with them, but now he recognized it and he's a great character, for himself. The one made with the end of the season 2 also, by Varrick saying that incredible tale which can't be real and him responding that not everything has to be logical, it's a mover, it's ok (I see you, writers). But also to denounce the mistake that the viewers might have made by thinking Korra was an anti-hero : she did bad stuff, but always with good intentions and she always repaired her faults, even more than that she helped to make the world better.

Hello ! It didn't bother me, to have a flashback episode, because we already had one in ATLA just before the end, so I thought that it was almost like a good ๐ to that. The vilains phone call is hilarious ๐

2021-12-28 15:38:53 +0000 UTCGood ole Nickelodeon ๐ . They cut the budget for the show again, so the writers had to change plans and make a โcheapโ episode (thatโs why this one is mostly flashbacks). I do love the villain phone call, but the original idea was to focus on Kuviraโs past and I really wish they had the opportunity to flesh her out more.
