I cried, really, with big tears and all, twice during this episode. First time with tears of joy, because of Asami and her dad working together, him who wants to do good and her who can see that, and just after that Varrick makes his demand to Zhu Li ! I thought we would have a wedding, but I imagined that it would be Bolin's one ! And the second time with tears of sadness, for Asami's dad, who had regrets and wanted to be better, but who is never gonna have his second chance. Poor Asami, each time, in each season, she lost a lot.
This episode had so many perfect fights, with epic music and each character having his/her time to shine. Like for the little Mello who was the one to make the plan with the paint, and who saved his father. Or with Bolin who saved them at the beginning, then lavabended to help the plan etc. The only one who didn't have his moment, in fact, it was Mako. But, I know, it's gonna come in the next episode, and, spoiler, I'm gonna be so mad and afraid that I wished for it.

Yes, I agree with that, too! They also did it some with the Avatar recap, but I think even moreso with Korra. The fact that all the other villains were trying to ditch Unalaq was hilarious!

Yes, I was glad also to finally appreciate Varrick, because the character was so funny but each time I was like "don't laugh, we can't trust him, remember what he did to Asami ?", so I'm glad that at the end, he found a conscious and also he had Zhu Li finally responding to him ! I would have loved to have an episode about Kuvira, but I appreciated also this recap episode, I really had the impression that the writers wanted to talk about stuff viewers didn't appreciate and to give a good reason, or to say sorry in a way 🙈

I didn't have time the last few weeks to leave a comment when I watched them, but did want to mention a few things here about them since it's almost finished now! I loved seeing your reactions to Prince Wu, Varric, and especially Zhu Li. I know you initially had more of "negative" reactions to the first two (which is understandable), but I think the last part of this season really makes both of them more likeable (and for Varric, more trustworthy), so I'm glad you were able to enjoy their characters more because of it. And of course, the story with Zhu Li this season is just so good! I'm glad you reacted to episode 8! I've seen a lot of reactors that skipped over it, and though it's certainly not as good as the Avatar recap episode, I do like it and like to see what other people think about it. I'm sure you'll get lots of YT comments, but apparently that episode was "supposed" to be about Kuvira's backstory, but because of some budgeting issues they had to scrap that and made a clip-show episode instead. It's placement in the season was a little weird, but I think it's pretty good for what it is. I liked your ASMR voice last week! 😉 I was actually surprised that the second video last week was the same day, you already sounded better. I am glad that you waited a bit to have your more normal voice back for the finales though. Because this episode is next-to-last, I always forget how good it is and how much happens in it! They only re-(re-)introduce Sato in this episode, and already he's gone again. Also thought it was funny in the intro that right after you talked about who could potentially die, you said "...Oh I didn't forget about Asami... Maybe we'll have something with her dad." 😭 You actually predicted quite a few things in this episode! Looking forward to the last episode... now!
