THE LEGEND OF KORRA 4X13 FULL REACTION

FULL REACTION PART !!!, NO ADDS

Hello !

That final episode concludes this show really well : we had some big surprises and moments of action, all of the discussions that we needed to have but also openings for the future of this universe. I said in the review of the last episode that Mako didn't have his moment to shine, and clearly he had it here. I cried so much thinking that he could sacrifice himself, and again when I was relieved that he was ok.

That end for Kuvira felt right, as much as Korra having this discussion with her mentor Tenzin. I totally loved (and cried) during Varrick and Zhu Li's wedding. I had the impression that the writers made two openings for Korra's lovelife at the end : Mako's promise to be always there for her, but also that final scene with Asami and both of them, hand in hand, eyes in eyes, going into the spirit world.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

THE LEGEND OF KORRA 4X13 FULL REACTION

Comments

Haaaaa, that's it, you finished the bingewatching of these two shows ! Thanks for your comments during it, it was nice to live again these episodes with you. Yes, they were amazing, and even if now that time passed, I have a little regret for some choices made in LOK, I love all of the characters of both shows so much. And it's so much more than kids shows, I hope for anyone to discover that at some point ! And at the same time, I want to show it also to my little nephew, and then to my future kids, so they can love it but also feel some of its life lessons 😊

Another journey ends :') Thank you so much for all the great reactions & reviews! I'm still all teary, can't really gather my thoughts - so I just leave you with two fun facts: The little guy running around at the wedding (when Lin picked up some food) was Rohan, not Meelo :P Both shows ended on the word "Perfect" 😭 Toph: "I think you all look perfect!" Korra: "Sounds perfect!" & to me, that sums up these two incredible tv shows - both had some flaws, some questionable writing choices (some of them due to budget restrictions), some clunky graphics sometimes, but that's not what matters - it's the story being told, how it is touching us & what we can take away from it.. & there was certainly a lot of that :') To me & a lot of others, they will always hold a very special place in our hearts & I will always fondly return to them (at least once a year 😂).. I think I wrote it in my comment to the first episode, this show makes me cry the moment Korra rides out on Naga for the first time & the music ramps up.. I only need to hear the first few notes of that song & all the amazing, epic moments, the heartbreaks, the tears, the laughs - all of them come back to me in an instant.. I love this show (& ATLA) with all my heart & it's one of my life missions to make sure every loved one of mine has at least the opportunity to give them a try 😅 :)

Hello and thanks for being here for all of these bingewatchings 😊This season was really great, and I found that final episode so good, mixing all of the feelings I wanted to have to close the story. It's really cool yes, to have this beginning of relationship here, but I would have appreciated to see them beginning it sooner because here, it's just implied and I'm sure, we as adults can see it, but I would have loved for kids to be able also to feel it, so they would know that a main character can have a different sexuality than just boy&girl. But I love the idea that they did it on the comics, with even talks about it between characters ! Count on me for the next productions, for the new series (live action or else) !

I first found your Reactions channel when you were around the middle of S3 of Avatar and really enjoyed watching you finish it (as well as going back to some of your earlier reactions) and of course start and now finish Korra as well. I've watched a number of reactors for both of these series over the last year or so, but yours really stood out with your in-depth discussions both before and after each episode. I didn't always have the same reactions and views that you did, but I really enjoyed seeing your take and watching you fall in love with this world that I (and so many others) were already in love with. Thank you for putting in all the work that you do in these reactions! I think this is a great end to my favorite season of Korra - and it looks like you got pretty much everything you wanted too! I liked how they took the time for Korra to reflect on Kuvira's motivations and their similarities. One of the only main criticisms people have with this season (that I somewhat agree with) is that Kuvira's backstory and motivation isn't really explained, but this scene with Korra at least starts to flesh that out a little. I know I've mentioned the Avatar comics in the past, but this story with Kuvira is actually the focus of one of the Korra comic trilogies (the second one - Ruins of the Empire). I won't spoil anything of course, but Zhu Li also has a big role in both comic trilogies. I think it's great that they decided to end the series by setting up the Korrasami relationship. (Every time you mentioned how Korra/Mako was the ship that the show "wanted" you to go for, even after their break-up in S2, I would chuckle a little to myself in anticipation of this). Its strange to think how far LGBTQ representation has really come in children's programming. Maybe I'm just getting old, but 2014 wasn't THAT long ago. At the time, I was (pleasantly) surprised by it, but there are definitely major hints at it, especially throughout S4. Even though they don't come out and explicitly say it during the show, I think it did have a big impact on subsequent shows that do have explicit LGBTQ people and relationships without really any pushback these days. And the first comic trilogy does explicitly deal with their new relationship and how the other characters react to it. With the announcement of Avatar Studios last year, I've never been more excited to see what more new things are coming from this world! Reactions like yours make the wait for new series or movies a little more bareable! I'm not as excited for the live action series, but the casting looks good, and I'm sure it can't be any worse than movie (which I've never seen besides a few clips). I think you've made the right decision to not watch it! Looking forward to the live chat!

Ryan Lake

Aaaaah, I'm glad they confirmed it, because it's really something that they are implying a lot, but without doing it, and thinking about their relationship during the last season, it felt logical in fact. I'm sorry that they couldn't do it sooner or to show much.

Laura Reactions

No “could” about it. Korra and Asami are dating!

Uhohmykokoro (Ari)

Oh, the writers confirmed right after the episode that Korra and Asami are a couple. They were only allowed to show so much on Nickelodeon at that time.
