Hello !

I told you guys why I wanted to watch this movie : it was the first movie in the theater for my big sister, and after 5 minutes of it, my dad was forced to leave the place with her, crying like hell. It traumatized my sister, my parents, and I was never allowed to watch it. I had a big frustration about it, so I'm glad that I finally discovered this disney movie. BUT. It might be one of the saddest ones that the franchise did : how can you think that it's a good story for kids ? The main character lost his mother, found one best friend, was separated from him and was waiting for his return. When the friend returns, he announces the end of the friendship and then Tod is being chased to be killed (like it was already the case being young), his former best friend swears to kill him after a stupid accident where they were trying to kill him.

Even in a protected area they're continuing to do so, and because Tod is a nice guy, he's coming back to save them when they're in danger. The stupid hunter doesn't kill him, not because he's thankful, but because the dog made puppy eyes.

Tod had the worst life ever, but has a good end. Copper also had a bad life if you want my opinion, being forced to do that to his friend, having so many responsibilities, and his future is gonna be the same. With adult's eyes, we can be like "nature is like that", and the birds' scenes are going with that. But as a kid ? I'm sorry, I would have been shocked and sad for entire days.
