Hello !
I wanted to watch a horror movie, to have jumpscares, to be afraid of the characters. And I had that, but more than that because it's in fact a mix between a horror movie and a drama one. We have characters who are really well presented and then who have a development, and scenes with big musics and emotional moments. But it's so well done, the picture is beautiful and the music is pushing the feelings… I cried more than three times, because of characters dying but not only… It works, clearly.
The main character is maybe not the one we can prefer (Proud Dad is so much more lovable, he is supportive with his wife, brave during the fights etc), but his evolution is really interesting. With his daughter telling him that he's selfish and him, little by little, trying to save other people. And even if we would have preferred for him to have a redemption arc with a good end, that one is in fact a parallel to Proud Dad : he's also sacrificing himself to save his kid.
