And yes, it's Firefly which won the poll on Patreon ! (fighting hard with Death Note, so⦠wait and see ?) So glad to begin this show, I feel like it's natural for me to try it after my bingewatching of Battlestar Galactica and The Expanse. But I was clearly not expecting that mood for the show : this mix between western rules and space opera adventures is so well done, it's fitting well, I fall for it easily.
Like, you just have to see how mad I was when they made me think that Kaylee could die, and after that how mad I was that they trapped me. But at the same time, I was smiling because it shows that I can really quickly like this show, these characters, but also that the writers know how to play with my emotions. What else.

I've liked every episode I saw when it first came out, but Fox (the network that showed it in the US) ran it out of sequence, and confused the heck out of me. I just decided to purchase it on Amazon Prime, so now I can try to see if I can make more sense out of it.

2021-06-21 14:34:15 +0000 UTCI love Firefly. For a show that only lasted 13 episodes there are so many memorable characters and moments. As for the Chinese, the US and China were the main powers that launched people from Earth That Was, so the new solar system is a mix of American and Chinese cultures. Chinese allowed the writers a way for the characters to swear and say all manner of horrible insults on prime time television.
