EXTENDED REACTION PART, SOONER, ONE VIDEO, NO ADDS

Hello !

After the last episode that I had trouble entering into, it was cool to be back with one with flashbacks and more infos. It was cool because it's giving more to the relationship between Simon and River, we understand even more how close they are and what Simon gave up to save her, but also that she understands it, she remembers everything, and more about her "powers" (reading people life, feeling bad things happening at distance, learning things quick etc).

Also cool to have a new mystery for the Shepherd, who was only for now a passenger with a moral compass who could help the crew for that. Now, he has his own story. And now with this episode, the passengers we met at the beginning are officially members of the crew : the original group was ok to put themselves in danger to save them.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

FIREFLY 1X06 EXTENDED REACTION

Comments

It's been awhile since I've watched Firefly, so it's been fun rewatching along with you! Just wanted to add that, in addition to the movie, there's also a series of comics that starts to continue the story, even after the movie, and helps to wrap up some loose ends that were never answered. They were actually published by the same company (Dark Horse) that's been publishing the Avatar comics, though in the past few years, they moved to a new publisher and started making monthly comics that are still running - before they only came out about once a year and had more self-contained stories, rather than an episodic continuing range like the new ones now. I haven't read any of the newer ones so I feel like I may have to check them out now that I'm getting into this universe again.

I really like subtle character moments like when Mal goes, "you're on my crew." and how he thinks that saying it explains everything already. Also, good eye on the clothing. I like how they were able to use things like that to further the world building.
