DEATH NOTE 1X05 EXTENDED REACTION

EXTENDED REACTION PART, ONE WEEK SOONER, NO ADDS

Hello !

I'm beginning to like Light's father, I think that he is maybe the only character for now that I can connect with. I admire how clever Light and L are, all of their plans and I can understand their point of view, but I can't say I "love" one, I connect with one or the other. Even if I'm more on L side for sure, in total opposition to the teenager who wants to rule the world by killing everyone he wants.

I also like that we now have a female character who can be that important for the story : as an ancient agent, she knows stuff and can investigate Light, without him suspecting her for now to be there. I hope she's gonna take more places in the future. And forget her awful fiance.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

DEATH NOTE 1X05 EXTENDED REACTION

I grew up in the U.K. and you get no argument from me on whether capital punishment is just. I like your point that both Light & L are willing to kill. They both think they are right, but are they justified? This is why I like Death Note because it puts a big question mark on whether anyone has the authority to kill people. Is there really a difference between L and Light's idea of Justice?

Hello ! I knew that Japan had still death penalty and it explains why L, the cops and everyone here were all ok for that plan, but me, personally, I don't approve. I didn't know that it was by hanging and I clearly don't want to choose between that or the death note πŸ™ˆ

Another great reaction. :) From what L said in episode 1, the police arranged for that convict that Kira killed on television to be arrested in secret. I think that the show is implying that both the police & court system cooperated to make sure that he could appear on national television. In Japan, the death penalty is still active and executions are carried out by hanging. Personally, I would prefer the death note to that.
