THE LEGEND OF KORRA 1X07 EXTENDED REACTION

EXTENDED REACTION PART, TWO WEEKS SOONER, NO ADDS

Hello !

This episode made me sad… For Tahno, because I didn't understand that Amon really took his bending away. The guy seemed so depressed but he was encouraging Korra, and that was so nice. But also for Asami. First she felt betrayed by Korra, she thought she was falsely accused with her father to do things wrong, she was ready to defend him no matter what, she said stuff about benders using their privileges here.

But then, she discovered what her dad was really doing and was forced to go against him. She lost her mother and now she also lost her dad in a way. Guys, please never doubt her, she proved to you here that she's a part of the team, on your side.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

I found it funny that you're probably the fastest person I've seen to pick up that it's probably Sato, but then by the point that most other people will definitely have picked up on it (when Korra overhears) is when you start going 'Oh, maybe it's not him... There's not enough evidence there'. 😂 I also liked that you noticed right away (I think even by the end of last episode) that Amon must have either financial or technology connections to be able to have all the stuff he does. Especially since it's more subtle here.

I really like Asami and I'm glad she became part of the team after this, but after watching it a few times, I almost wish that it had taken her a little more time to go against her father. Its very emotional when it happens here, but if she had gone along with him at the beginning, but maybe taken a few episodes before she realized that she was on the wrong side, it might have gone a little further building her character and made that decision to go against him more impactful. (I'm definitely glad though that she wasn't set-up to be "bad" from the start, like her dad, and the whole thing to be a ruse. I've heard that was the original intention, too). One thing I also noticed, no one I've seen (including myself) had ever really thought that Asami would join her dad. They always think "oh she's gonna take it and shock him" right before she does it - and I'm not sure why. It seems to me like they're trying to make it seem like she will follow him, and the turn-around should be a big twist, but it doesn't come off that way for some reason.

I think Asami was originally planned to be an Equalist spy. Thank goodness they didn’t go with that idea 😅

Me during the last episodes of the season : "Guys, I ship you but your attitude is so bad. I can just be on Asami's side." 🙈😂

I love Asami. She's one of the (in my opinion) few consistent gems I liked throughout the series. She deserves better than Mako. -_-
