Hello !
First episode of the season and we have the main things : the danger with these spirits out of control, new characters with Unalaq and the conflicted brother relationship, Korra's issues with her being angry at everything and everyone, her relationships with Tenzin and Makko which can suffer from that etc. Everything is set and can bring a lot of different good things.
I love the fact that they created a narrative arc for Asami during this season, her trying to make her dad's business right, with the help of Bolin. These two can be a good team ! I love also the idea of Tenzin and his siblings, together, going to Aang's temple. It's gonna kill me, but it's gonna be good.

Oh also, I don't think its ever been said if Unalaq (and thus Tonraq and Korra) are related to Yue or not. She was an only child, so its possible the chiefdom went to a different family after Yue's father. Also, I wish they didn't make Tonraq and Tarrlock's names so similar! I always get them mixed up...

I'm interested in seeing how you react to Bolin's arc this season, since he's one of your favorite characters. I was also thinking about the similarities between Korra in these episodes and Harry in the 5th book. I also think there's some parallel with Zuko in Seasons 1 and 2. Looking forward to the rest of the season! Its probably my least favorite of Korra, but I still really enjoy it!

2021-08-26 14:35:56 +0000 UTCI can understand why Korra is angry with Tenzin at the end. She spent her entire life up to her time in Republic City locked away in an icy prison. Sure it was nice and she was well treated but it was a prison nonetheless. Now she just found out that it was Tenzin and her father that had her locked up and they had been lying to her by saying it was Aang's idea for her protection. True she was living with Tenzin and part of the family but it's not like he felt the need to be honest with her at any point and he had even tried keeping her confined to the island at the start.

I am not one of those people 😅. Regardless, I won’t say too much about it because of spoilers and I also don’t wanna sour your mood about it. I hope you end up liking it in the end 🙏
