THE LEGEND OF KORRA 2X06 EXTENDED REACTION

EXTENDED REACTION PART, TWO WEEKS SOONER, NO ADDS

Hello !

Even if this episode was great, like always, a lot of things happened that I understand but didn't like : Asami's business being so down that she felt like she lost everything and she committed that mistake ; Bolin who is finally showing some character but he totally forgot who he is ; discovering that I was right about Varick being fun but also someone who thinks only about his interests.

For Korra, I thought we were not gonna see her at all during this episode, but the end surprised me : she forgot who she is ? Does it mean no bending at all ? It's gonna be rough.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

THE LEGEND OF KORRA 2X06 EXTENDED REACTION

Hello ! I liked that Bolin has a story for himself during this season, I wanted him to show more character and to not just follow people, but all of his actor trip went high too quick imo, it would have been more interesting to make it grow slower and also the other guys seeing the mistakes they did before with Bolin. So at the end, it's not only him coming back to reason, it's also them admitting they left him behind a lot.

I was really interested in seeing your reaction to Bolin this season, and this episode is filled with it. I actually like his arc/development in this season. He really didn't have much of any at all in the first season (unless you count getting his heart broken and then recovering in a single episode) and after his "relationship" with Eska, I do like that he becomes more independent and assertive. (Though he's definitely not someone I would want to have to interact with myself ATM, lol). We'll just have to see if/how he continues to change this season. While I generally like the story and plot of all of Korra, they can make a number of leaps from time-to-time that just don't really make sense. One of the worst ones IMO was in this episode, where all they have to do is distract Asami and Mako to steal ALL of the highly advanced product from a large company (Varrick calls them "the little guy" but they literally invented the "Sato mobile" and many other high-tech machines, and it seems like their only real competitor is Cabbage Corp). Like... surely they had SOME security other than the teenaged CEO, right? I remember thinking that even on my first watch-through and I've never really found any explanation that could make sense... Wonder if we'll get to see your monkey friend in the Spirit World soon... 🙈

Hello ! Writers got me with Varrick, I was suspicious with him since the beginning saying that we can't trust him but he can be a good allie but by making him so fun and all, the writers let me think he couldn't "attack" us. And yes, unfortunately, the love triangle is back 🙈

Laura Reactions

Yay, return of the love triangle absolutely no one asked for 🥳 Anyways, back to the episode. I think it’s funny how Varrick made no attempt to hide the fact that he’s a shady businessman, but almost every reactor is so shocked when he turns out to be…surprise! A shady businessman! You were suspicious from the start 😂 Honestly, I forgot that Unalaq was even in the episode. That’s how little I’m invested in him as a villain 😅 So, Korra didn’t forget her bending, she airbended when she woke up. BUT that would’ve led to a more interesting plot, in my opinion 🤷‍♀️ That’s all I’ve got! Hope you have a good day! I should probably go to sleep now 😅
