Status Update And November Hiatus

I just recently found Power Vacuum while wanking about on the web and pretty much loved it straight off. So much so that I rushed through it in a few days and just subscribed to this page. The models and rendering (Ophelia in particular) were enough to keep my erotic desires fulfilled (even clothed) but it was in fact the story that really pulled me in. The premise is obviously sort of silly (which I personally am more than OK with), but the dialogue, character development, and particularly the ways that you have slowly evolved their sexual relationships has been very interesting to watch and read through. I enjoyed how they talk themselves into/out of sexual scenarios, justify sexual/semi sexual behavior, and there is even a legitimate two steps forward and one step back approach with the female relationships in and out of the house. The dynamic makes the story surprisingly relatable in those ways. The only reason I'm even responding to this is also because of what you posted above, halting work while halting payment of your Patrons shows substantial character, and your integrity to what you wanted accomplish with your Adult visual novel is refreshing and impressive, adult content or not. I think there is potentially a lot more room for this type of thing. I'm even going to turn a female friend of mine onto this (she reads lots of erotica) to see what she thinks. I personally am less picky about the fully animated portions (not that I don't appreciate good animation), but I was surprised how good your animation is considering the attention to the models, renders and story. So why am I writing a novel length post? I'm just really compelled to say how much I appreciate this work. I don't understand much in the way of graphic design but I have a lot of writing experience. Writing something like this takes a lots of energy and even more time, which is only expounded by the rendering process! So thank you and I wish you well! I fell in love with all of them and their quirky, silly, ridiculous interactions. Except hunter. I hate him. But in a good way. Keep the funny. It's almost 50/50 for me to be honest because i both love the sex scenes and i love your style of comedy. I always personally hated the NTR stuff but you know you can make some funny stuff when one of the things i look forward to is the NTR non-canon bad ends, just because they crack me up every time.

I'll add to the chorus of other Patreons that the writing of this game is, by far, the thing that stands out and elevates this story to the top tier of those available now. I subscribed to this game, as with so many others, because the dialogue is so hilariously funny. From the "lurching" comment very early on in the banter between Brenna and the MC to any number of other comments later, the interactions between the characters is, hands down, the crowning achievement with the entire game so far. Don't get me wrong, I love the sexy models and the ero-content, but the writing is what stands out. When a 'fap game' becomes something that can engross me in a story to the point where fapping is second to what the characters are saying, that's a testiment to how well it's crafted. I absolutely know this cannot be easy to write; I am from the US and a 40-something, so the jokes about old sit-coms and things make me laugh all the time, so I would encourage you to keep up the writing if at all possible. I also know that comedy writing is very much a mind-set so would honestly prefer slower releases if that's what it took to keep you in a better mental state and not feel rushed. i say take the time you need, just that i hope you keep your enthuiasm going, even if slower. I'd prefer a slower released game, than one where the author feels pressured to the point it's abandoned. We'll be here, you take the time you need and give yourself a break, even the best comedians have to try a dozen jokes to get a few that stand out, so you won't strike gold every time, it's the effort that counts. :) Comedy, like medicine, is a 'practicing' type thing, and the more it's done the better chance of success there will be but it still may not always be easy, and it won't always be perfect so if that's understood by all involved, hopefully, there will be less pressure overall. :)

Alright, listen up, dummy. Outside of Psychodelusional's batshit absurdist take on the genre, you've managed to make the most consistently funny adult game going, with a level of craftsmanship in its writing that is wholly unique. I know you know this, but nobody writes jokes like this in adult games. Someone, somewhere else mentioned the banter being like Sorkin, and at least once per update, usually between either Ooph-MC or Bren-MC, that's exactly what it's like - some perverted mishmash of rapid fire Sorkin dialog peppered with Zucker pratfalls wrapped in a Larry David circular narrative. You do good work. You know this and don't need a poll to confirm it for you. What you do need is to use this game as a learning experience. We can see you experimenting with various tools and techniques as its gone along. I know it winds up being a huge time sink but it'll be worth it for your next game. Look at where Philly started out to the slick stuff he's producing now. He had the same issues that drive you crazy right now - a game that definitely stuck out but didn't rake in the dollars you'd expect. Hard work, honing your craft and ,eh, slightly more careful planning at the beginning stages will eventually ensure a financially rewarding adult game developer experience. If you stick with PV for another year, it'll come. If you finish off PV and move on to a new game, it'll come as well, and possibly blow up if you pick the right genre/setting/story. One word of caution - I understand the Daz fatigue. I understand the lure of other 3d software. But the female figures are the heart, soul and wallet of adult games and there is nobody, nowhere, no how with so many shaders and easy morphs that you can put on a 3d figure as Daz's genesis figures. One look at the skin on any human figure in Blender should scare anyone straight unless they really, really understand the Blender shader node editor. You can use any number of other software packages to do what you need (fluid, physics, etc) and import the results as obj. I'd just warn against taking any leaps without knowing what you're jumping over. Anyway, good luck. Have yourself a vacation and enjoy the threat of a global pandemic unencumbered by clipping and Daz crashes.

The models look great, the erotic content is ... WOW, and as far as the story goes, it just fits together perfectly. It's nice to have a game like this in which the story about the characters doesn't take itself seriously. I had to smile a lot and it's also very exciting to read. I am not from the USA, but I still understand everything very well, and the wit and humor are easy to understand. For myself, the comedy is a big factor in my enjoyment of the game. Normally Brenna's body type wouldn't really be my thing, yet she is my favourite character in this game. The reason being the humour that laces her conversations and interactions with Sterling. To many of these games have a quasi soap opera feel to them. They try to take seriously what are inherently absurd situations. The comedy in this game and the fact it doesn't take itself to seriously is, for me, a big part of its charm.

So, for me Comedy is what sets this Game apart from competitors. While the Image Quality is another thing I definitely care about, writing is also important. There are a few Games where I didn't even bother trying after reading the poorly written synopsis and looking at example scenes. Your Game has good presentation and good writing and it makes it stand out. While I might not appreciate all the jokes you make because I'm not from the US and thus wouldn't know any old commercials I at least used to live in the US and get some cultural references. The most important thing is though that you should write what you yourself enjoy. Don't force yourself to dumb down your writing if you wouldn't enjoy doing it. There are People that enjoy all manner of things and if you lose some People by going comedy you will lose others by going dumb.

It was the story and comedic moments that drew me to this game and why I support it here. There are hundreds of dross barely translated VNs which are only popular because of the genres it taps into. Honestly I think every update has been better than the one previous and if not for the writing id not give a damn about half the cast - in this VN I'm invested in everyone... Given its NTR it's imperative you care about them. They're likable and have personality not just physical appeal and I would never trade that for saucy content and just another by the numbers VN. The reason I subscribed is because of your over-the-top comedy writing style. This is what elevates you above being another slow-moving harem porn. Absolutely keep it up! The only thing I would suggest, is that you don't need to throw 4, 5, 6 comic lines at us in rapid succession when 1 or 2 will give the same effect.
