Interesting that you mentioned you were caught off guard in terms of what you were expecting to see from this time period. Shinee actually made a lot of waves during this time for I guess having a more "complex" choreo than what was the standard for kpop groups at that time and singing live as well. In previous interviews, their own peers and seniors in the industry who were active around that time have also mentioned how shocking it was to see shinee dancing the way they did and performing live back then. IU, solo artist who also debuted in 2008, said in an interview a couple of years ago with SHinee that when it was Shinees turn to rehearse at music shows that herself, other singers and even their seniors would come down to watch them.
