Development Update - 007

I gotta say, Tuesdays are always interesting. They leave you somewhere in between the dreaded Monday and the beloved Wednesday. So you're stuck in a duality of how you should feel that day. Personally, I use Tuesdays to relax and avoid most electronics. Like, phone and computer are off. I will listen to music to unwind a bit though. Speaking of which, I've been listening to MELLOWTOY's Chain Reaction on repeat for the past like 3 hours. Send help.

Anyways, my Tuesday was pretty mellow (see what I did there?). I did talk to some of those guys who knock on your door and tell you about their religion though. As someone who is in no way religious, it was a pretty awkward conversation, but they were pretty cool. So shout out to them... from a guy making a game about taking advantage of anthros.

Anyways, I hope you guys had a great Sunday through Wednesday. Let's begin the info.

Concepts

Did someone say "Renamon panties"?

Anywhore, I was genuinely trying to come up with some kind of design for them. This ranged from making a tile pattern like this:

To just having something simple, like this:

Overall, it looked pretty odd, so I decided to show the one that I was kinda cool with. They are in no way the final version (not to mention I didn't even color the lines), so feel free to give input on them. After all, I want you guys to be happy seeing these on your respective Kung Fu master's ass.

Also, let it be known that I forgot to add Twerking to the Low Tier options. Twerking has always been something that annoyed me, but that was really only because it was a trend. In all actuality, who would deny watching Tigress shake her bubble butt? Well... aside from people who hate furries. But their opinions don't count on this page.

Coding

The coding in this game is steadily getting more and more advanced. I'm going to have to start adding functions to change the arms, outfits, etc.

Before, I could just change a variable name and everything would work seamlessly. But some of the parts are layered in a way that makes it harder than that. In fact, I'm going to have to make multiple arms for multiple outfits as well as different breast sizes.

That is where the function comes into play. It will decide which specific arm is necessary for which occasion. For example, if Tigress is crossing her arms, it will check to see how big her tits are, and choose which set of arms to use to make it look like they are appropriately placed.

These arms were designed for Tigress with small breasts. You can see the breast on the left is being clipped/covered by the arm. So I'll first have to make another set of arms (I'll probably just erase part of the arm), and then give the function an if statement that will check Tigress' breast size and then make it decide  whichever one is appropriate for it.

For anyone who might know a little about programming, it would probably look something like this:

Of course, I probably could do the same thing just by using variables and some not-so-clever naming rules, but this should make any changes to the code structure easier later on if they become necessary.

Art

I'm sure by now it's getting annoying about how I keep talking about the night and day cycles. But they are of utmost importance right now.

This is an example of what I'd like to achieve through the night and day system. However, if I don't make dark version of my current assets, it will look more like:

As you can see, Tigress doesn't look like she belongs with the environment and it really takes your mind off of what she's saying. So if at all possible, just give me a bit more time and I should have something new to add to the Art section soon (I'm guessing I'll have it done before next Dev update).

Miscellaneous

I'm actually not that disappointed in this update. I think it could've had a little more, but for the most part it was straight to the point and explained all of my current issues. I've been well rested, so I will get plenty of work done to show off in the next Development Update. 

Oh yea, we won the Unit Wolf contest, so if we can band together and come up with an idea, that would be awesome. Currently, the idea is Tigress leaving a bathing area without a bra and wearing just panties. Naturally, I prefer things more explicit (this is a porn game after all, wink wink), but I know most of the people following this project are simply in it for the butts and wedgies.
