I feel so bad for Jay getting his main vocal part taken away. I will spare you my thoughts about Han Bin pulling him, people would just call me anti or hater, lets just say I really dont understand how so many people can still call him "perfect" after that.

Token Giant Comment incoming! Omg my heart this episode I cant Having Somi as a Star Master is so great, since she literally knows what it’s like in the trainee’s shoes, as she was part of Produce 101 Season 1 and placed first, making her the center of IOI. She was a great MC. I remember jokes that she was calling trainee names a lot faster because she hated it when she was in their position and had to wait a million years in between trainees lol. When her and Gyuvin share a look, she actually took a photo of that screencap from the episode and put in on her Insta story with the caption ‘bestie’ Idk if you watched it in ep 9/10 but they show a few spots of the interim ranking at the end of the episode. In it, the big bombshells were that Ricky and Keita were top 9, and Gyuvin dropped to 16. Mnet released it as a way to be like ‘HELLO HE’S LOW VOTE FOR HIM’ which is exactly what happened lol. Who knows what rank he would be if Mnet didn’t reveal it. The behind the scenes stuff is super fun. Like previous stuff, they cut some behind the scenes stuff. Apparently they all did dance practices of the Artist battle Song in their onesies. Just some fun stuff. This elimination HURT. Losing amazing talent and personality like Woongki, Haruto, Seo Won, Wang Zi Hao, Hiroto, Seunghwan, and more was crazy. Because of that, this elimination was definitely the hardest one for me. I was really shocked Haruto’s votes didn’t move onto finale. He got an amazing edit in ep 9, so people had more time with that edit since voting closed in the same day that ep 10 released. I thought he was SO safe since he was 16th last elimination, and I figured the edit would have raised his rank. I remember thinking that maybe he was 10th or 9th and thats why he wasn’t called earlier. But to not even see him in the running for 18th place was crazy to me. Yeah, Matthew’s low rank is pretty much a direct result of his weird edit from the previous episodes. To viewers watching in real time where emotions are high, it made him look bad, putting it mildly. Ricky placing top 9 was a long time coming. He was always popular internationally, but his Korean votes REALLY picked up in the last few missions, especially with his performance in Over Me. Keita continues to be the global fan favorite, as he placed 1st in global votes this round, yet placed 17th in Korean votes. Jay was another global favorite. He placed 4th globally, but 18th in Korean votes. Both songs are really fun. There aren’t really dance practices of these performances, as last episode performances (for Mnet shows at least) tend to not show conflict since the final group will be decided in that episode, so having conflict kinda defeats the purpose for their narratives lol. The center being decided by fancam was interesting. It was based on views and likes during a certain time frame. As expected, people just vote for their faves. There’s a little drama here that I can explain when you watch it but both members involved end up in the group so it’s fine. There’s a funny tweet after Hanbin kicked out Jay that stuck in my mind. A Jay stan account tweeted ‘I will never forgive you Sung Hanbin’ after he pushed Jay from Hot Summer main vocal to Jelly Pop subvocal 5. Depending on where you were looking, Hanbin got some heat for this decision by fans since he was all but guaranteed in the final lineup as opposed to Jay. For Hanbin at this point, the question wasn’t really ‘is he going to make it into the group’ and more so ‘is he going to place first?’ BUT it’s a competition and you can never guarantee anything so I get it. Finale is LONG even longer than my essay comments so don’t stress lol I woke up at 6am to watch it live and i was done freaking out by like 11 so dont stress lol

Before the last episode airs, there is an episode 11.5 where each of the 18 members will spend their last vacation, are you planning to watch it? Some spend it with family or regular friends, but some spend it with trainee friends who failed early or idol friends who have already debuted, so it will be fun to watch.

they did “over Me” team dirty with the whisper game. They were a team where 4/5 members were foreign and their one Korean member was the raccoon. Haruto debuted in TOZ (Japanese/Korean group) with Takuto, Anthonny, and Yuto not long after boys planet. I think they were the first post BP group to debut. However they’ve been inactive for quite awhile now. Haruto and Takuto haven’t appeared in any of the groups social media since last July and the other two posted a bunch of stuff around November before also disappearing. The group hasn’t posted any updates since December 2024 so it’s possible they’ve disbanded 😭. note the subtle shade Kamden threw to his father by specifically saying “love you mom” in his speech. So since the show started Kamden’s father had been pretty active on twitter, interacting with fans, posting pictures of Kamden and his twin Kade. At first it was kinda cute, seemed like a dad supporting his son. But then he started saying questionable things, throwing shade at other contestants, and stuff. There even was once he was live on Twitter and I believe Kamden called him to tell him to stop. It got to the point where Kamden’s company had to put out a statement saying they had nothing to do with his father’s actions, he’s been largely absent from their lives, etc. Yeah, boys planet time was interesting, there was a lot of drama happening outside the show. Sung Hanbin did receive some heat for pulling Jay out of the Main Vocal spot. Some people thought he was selfish for wanting such a large part even though he’s been consistently in the #1 spot. And I was also sad because Jay was my one pick and he was slipping in the rankings so I wanted him on that main vocal spot. But at the end of the day, hate the game, not the players. Plus Jay already did a sexy song with over me, so it’s nice to see him in a cuter vibe song. Anyways, brace yourself for the finale! It’s going to be a long one. If you want, you can probably 2x speed the in between moments of the ranking announcements, since the waiting gap inbetween those are long but don’t skip too much since it may ruin the surprises.
