zhang hao was my number 1 pick since before the show started and i was so happy that he won 1st place!!! everyone thought hanbin<3 would take it, even i was surprised but so so so happy

When the interim ranking showed that he had dropped to 11, Korean fans really pulled through and gave us our Main Vocal, I cried so hard 😭 My 2nd pick was Matthew and when I saw he wasn’t 5th, I almost cried because I lost hope. Boy was I wrong 😅

2025-05-22 21:35:46 +0000 UTCCommenting again now that the episode is complete! Gosh I clearly underestimated the amount of skips, advising you to do 2-3 instead of 10... I think my mind chose to forget how long the wait was 😅 a real torture! To answer a couple of questions: there's a video of XLOV's Rui, who is Zhang Hao's close friend, reacting to Hao's win. We can see some of it in the episode but the whole thing is really dramatic, he truly lost it. There are also videos of him and other eliminated trainees reacting to Ricky's 4th place and they were so shocked that it is hilarious lol. And yes, Hanbin is the leader of ZB1 but it has nothing to do with the rankings, only center got determined with 1st place. Even though it seemed predictable that Zhang Hao would be in the group and would place high, all of us who supported him were still very worried back then. In Girls' Planet, Chinese contestant Shen Xiaoting was in the #1 spot for half of the show and then dropped to #9 in the final episode, barely making it because of Mnet's way to favor Korean votes over international ones. If votes from everywhere had been counted equally, she would have placed #5 in the final ranking (which is not #1, sure, but not #9 either) and two other Chinese trainees would have also debuted instead of two Korean ones. With that in mind, Hao's fandom went above and beyond to secure him a spot, and a good one at that, so much that he kicked Hanbin out of that 1st place lol. These 2 were my favorite trainees and are now my favorite idols so I didn't care about which one of them would win, I was just so relieved when they both got called for that spot! Ricky's fandom also did amazing, he was the other big shock of the night. Me and my friends always bet on the Produce/Planet shows' final lineups and honestly we're very good at it (we started with Produce s2 in 2017 so we have experience 😂), but none of us had predicted Ricky being in the final top 9. I'm excited to see you watch ZB1's performances, discover the skills they couldn't really showcase here and witness everyone's improvement. I'll also follow your journey with other BP-related groups of course because I love them all. Thank you so much, it was truly a blast to rewatch the show with you!

People giving ice creams in parks to strangers in exchange for votes. Jay fans really tried. Zhang Hao is very well-loved by koreans that's why he ended up in the number 1 spot, still super shocking!! I also couldn't believe it! I was so upset for Jay and Keita. I have been following Keita since YG Treasure Box, he did well on that show, so I followed him until his debut with Ciipher (pre-Boys Planet). He is under Rain's company, I was worried about him because after Boys Planet, Rain said that he had wasted money on Ciipher (Keita's group)... he was super disrespectful. I'm really happy everything turned out well for everybody. After Boys Planet, Mnet did a singing competition show Build-up, which Jay won, he was always #1. I always felt Park Hanbin needed his own group to be center, he has too much center energy, haha. Onepact is amazing, Tag (ex-Ciipher) is their music producer, composer, songwriter, etc. he wasn't during Boys Planet because before the first episode aired. All the members contribute so much in this group. Can't wait for you to react to them. Kamden actually met Victor and they made some videos, haha. I think Hui has been a judge in some shows, I'm glad he has gotten the recognition he deserves. During Boys Planet I didn't pay much attention to Taerae, but after the show I lovee his personality so much. It was really entertaining watching you react!

I feel like we knew there was a chance that was a possibility but no one thought it would ACTUALLY happen since Sung Hanbin has been #1 from the start. Even Zhang Hao seemed shocked that he was #1. Also Rui collasping on the floor crying for Hao. The whole 1st and 2nd place announcment was what fans called the Haobin wedding, from them hugging when it was confirmed they were both debuting together, to them walking over, to Hanbin congradulating Hao, to them walking up together hand in hand, to Hanbin basically handing the #1 seat over to Hao. In fancam views, there was a moment where a staff tries to tell them to walk up separately but they clearly ignored that. Also another fancam of Hanbin supposedly calling out to Hao from the #2 seat saying the #1 seat suits him (which causes Hao to burst in to tears again). For me, I was super bummed that Jay didn't make it in to the final group since he was my #1 pick. It was even sadder to find out that he finished in 10th place, so close. But it worked out in the end, I'm in love with ZB1 as is and Jay went on to debut as a soloist, in One Pact, and then through another survival show group, BDU all in the span of a year. Can't wait to watch the last episode with you! We see more of the guys' personality there.
