A fun fact about Bitgoeul is that they were originally formed as a crew of Gwangju-based waackers, including Roro, Marid, Kiki, Wizzard, Jeem, and other students of Roro. Later, Gwangju dancers of other styles joined the crew, so they naturally changed their name to Bitgoeul Dancers. What I love about Bitgoeul Waackers is that, though they were trained under the same teacher (Roro), their uniqueness is unmatched. I am always fascinated by how Roro can teach her students a solid waacking foundation yet allow them to develop their own styles. I would never guess that these four dancers are from the same crew if I didn't know them beforehand. A good example is Wizzard and Kiki. Their disciplines are both waacking and voguing, but their approaches are vastly different.
