yes you are completely right, we don't know for sure what would happened if that fight was not interrupted and we stick to our own theories. I didn't say Natsu was fully a "puppet" but he was controlled in a way by the intention of killing Zeref and anger;again I didn't say Gray would beat Natsu and I can agree based on anime informations that Natsu would won that fight if it was not interrupted but not that easily. Gray being able to stand against Natsu is a big thing.

imo just the fact that natsu was able to talk to gray means that he was in control of his mind and I don't think natsu is the kind of person that can recognise his nakama and still go full in on killing him. I feel like with his power, if he had wanted to, he could have. we wouldn't ever really know bc dimaria is now defeated, we don't know if gray would have been able to beat dimaria and also enter her time (but for me I doubt that) so that's why we can only each come to our own theories and how we interpret it, but unless it was fully explained by the mangaka in an interview we will never know the truth.

Also if your magic power is higher than her you can travel in her time because if that was not possible she would be the most OP character in the series and we know August Irene and Larcade are the strongest. I think Dimaria power works exactly like Brandish. When Brandish try to use her powers against Neinhart she couldn't because his Magic power was higher than her and I think this applies to Dimaria too.

Invel said all the demons have a "homing system" and that means Natsu was unable to fully control himself. For me it looked like Natsu was 100% in that fight because you can see his anger and it's doesn't look he was restraining in that fight like using 50% of power or something like that. I don't want to say Gray would beat Natsu easily but I think they are equally in power.

I don't think he's "as lost" in END as we'd think. He IS END, it's not something that is separate from him that he "turns into". It's just a power switch/that he can tap into. But Natsu is still Natsu and I don't think he'd really try to kill Gray

I wouldn't entirely agree but if that's how you choose to see it that's fine ofc :) I interpreted it differently since Natsu was basically able to move inside Dimaria's dimension, if he really was going all out he would have had no problem to step inside the dimension of "time being frozen" and killing Gray off

Makarov gets only BADASS MOMENTS. Also Natsu was fighting 100% because he entered END mode and he wanted to kill(also the Lucy part played a major role in this). I think a lot of people underrate Gray; Natsu was in END mode(the strongest demon made by Zeref) ,he is a dragonslayer which was trained by Igneel(the fire dragon king and stronger than Acnologia at full power) and Natsu has the elemental advantage(fire melts ice). Those are some serious traits and the fact Gray was equally with him shows how OP Gray became.
