Yeah. I love it mainly for the visual novel. But the anime is pretty good too. That's one thing the anime could have done better about. The tone of the visual novel is much more balanced and less about the violence and gore.

They don't even know of it's VERY well written plot and amazing twist. This anime is definitely up there in my top 5. 😭

2019-09-01 01:05:03 +0000 UTCPlease watch season 2 after this. This show is split up into two arcs. The question arc (what you're watching now) and the answers arc (season 2). The show makes 0 sense without season 2 because the plot isn't even explained until then. A lot of people recommend this solely because of the "gore" or "shock value" but fail to ignore the fact that the plot is pretty deep too. Definitely one of my all-time favorite shows. It's genius. Also the "ending" you see at the start is just the beginning. :)

Why is that fine and higurashi isn't? Also I bet you haven't watched the second season (or understood it) because it's by far the best mystery anime I've seen. I mean, you're allowed to not like it, but don't go shitting on it for dumb reasons.

But we will never see most of them translated or outside of Japan ( around 80-90% of the Visual Novels will never see a official Translation) There are some of them with normal School Romance Storys, some of them darker ( like HIgurashi) and some of them even have a very depressing or creepie Story, but they have mostly 1 Thing in Common: They are basicly Books in Form a Game. You have Backgrounds, CGs and such Stuff + mostly Voiced Characters, Soundeffects, Music etc. Often enough you also need to make different Choices and such. Im a Newbie in it for myself ( i only played and finished around 6-7 Title in the last 8-9 Months since i started to like Visual Novels) but that is also because i dont play them mostly all Day or that they have long Storys with different Character-Routes ( some Games can have 80-120 hours of Story) ^^

If you think:"oh yeah it made you scary as fuck so it sure good horror" then fine, that a good point of a horror being scary anyway. What is so incredible about this stupid story anyway? It have so many root that it have to repeat so many fucking time of the same story and same character? That a bad story right there for you. You want good horror? Go for Yami Shibai, Gyo, Jukoku Shoujo. There also Ghost hunt and Ghost hound. Ah yeah, I dont mention CP or Another because they're suck. And Mirai Nikki is a love story, dont ever tell me its a horror. Its a LOVE STORY
