Haha no worries, you do not need to justify yourself for liking one character more than another! Like you said, some characters just "click" more with different people! It is so cute that you ship Itami and his ex! You even imagined a backstory for them and everything lol! If that makes you enjoy it more than more power to you :) We all find different nuggets to enjoy and makes watching the same anime over and over with other people that much more fulfilling!
