After I posted about Sergio Leone reference I realized I said the same thing in the Shanghai Noon post. I think Shanghai Noon and Back to the Future 3 being western comedies hit the same note for me lol

2024-03-05 09:23:22 +0000 UTCThe western Biff was watching was "A Fistful of Dollars" its one of the legendary Dollars trilogy starring Clint Eastwood and directed by Sergio Leone, who was a big inspiration for Quentin Terrantino's directing. Fistful of Dollars was actually heavily based on a famous Samurai movie, and you can see the plot all over the place even in a Pokemon episode.

2024-03-05 05:10:28 +0000 UTCI feel like the 2nd movie is pretty cheesy because of the Future stuff, but thats part of the fun. And the alternate bad present time, I feel 80s movies really liked grimey urban decay settings. A lot of the action movies used that back then.
