Episode 23+24: Google Drive or Dailymotion
Side note: Sorry it took me so long to post this. I was hesitant, because I didn't really enjoy episode 21 & 22 at all. I already gave my initial thoughts during the video, but someone DMd me after seeming to think the only reason I didn't like it was because of personal experiences.
I already acknowledged in the video that I'm sure that's part of it, but I made it clear in the video that was not the only thing for me. For example:
The "teachers are humans too lesson" has already been addressed in the story in a much better way (the blonde genius' teacher/storyline)
I probably didn't word this very well in the video, but I didn't like how the "mini arc" was set up to be about Fuyutsuki-sensei and it somehow got sidetracked to being about the adulteress and in the end Onizuka being the one to help the young girl realize "teachers are humans too". I liked that Onizuka initially went to help and or/support Fuyutsuki, but her character just fell flat to me considering the good build up in the first episode (imo, obviously).
The scene where Onizuka went to save the girl from the exploding school felt forced, just so that it could have a dramatic ending. When Onizuka skipped the exam to save the other girl (who was abducted because her father was some powerful politician or something) - it was a scene that put Onizuka on the map for me as a great character and one of my favorites. The build up was believable and fit into overall arc. Here though, we had 5 or 6 bomb techs on a professional movie tech, but they couldn't disarm it? In the end, it just didn't feel as meaningful as the other times when Onizuka saved people.
I saw some reviews on MAL - I was not the only person who wasn't feeling these two episodes, so it's not just about being biased because of personal experience. Many other people disliked it (for different reason than I did), so I just wanted to point out to this person that the episodes are not objectively good as they seem to think...
As I already said to him, I'm not really interested in arguing about personal opinions, but if you have to convince yourself of some kind of head canon like "maybe the male teacher who was cheating had an abusive wife, that's why he did that, you don't know their story"... well, you can't expect other people to buy into that. That's all.
TLDR; to each their own. I really liked episode 23 & 24 though :))
