[Classroom of the Elite] S2 E12 Reaction and Review

Wrong thread, but I believe light novel readers are critiquing the CHANGE of location, but not the "LIGHTING" .

I get you're an anime only but "Nor did I see any comments or people critiquing the lighting this episode" is basically admitting you're ignorant on the amount of light novel readers that complain on how the anime was adapted, since it's the light novel readers that keep bringing up the rooftop. If your fine with the lighting yourselve fine but presenting a statement by saying "very weird, i had no problem with this" followed up with "nor did I see this or those type of comments" just sounds very sheltered and doesn't add much to your statement when so many light novel readers are nitpicking at details the anime leave out and rushed through.

You didn’t listen to my review at all, that much is clear, since I spoke about why the setting bothered me last week and again this week. I didn’t specifically say rooftop last week, but light novel readers told me that this played out on the rooftop. And the anime did allude to the rooftop scene in the trailer. So you say “when did the anime allude to that” and “I didn’t see anyone critiquing the lighting” but to me it seems you have selective viewing. You only see and hear what you want. Anyones contrary opinion non existent or unimportant to you. Which doesn’t matter, you don’t have to care about anyone else’s opinion. But don’t delude yourself into thinking that everyone feels the same way you do or that your opinion is somehow above another’s. Very weird, I had no problem seeing the fight or with the lighting in this episode. Nor did I see any comments or people critiquing the lightning this episode. Nonetheless, Everything that happened in the fight was very clear and fluid imo. Plus I think the darker setting adds to the fight by making it appear more messy and grim, which, is how a fight is supposed to be. You mentioned the fight should've taken place on a "rooftop" instead, but I am pretty sure I didn't miss a detail THAT big in the anime, but when did the anime ever allude to anything being on a "rooftop".

I prefer the darker look tbh, the rim lighting on the characters make it more dramatic, and the animation is nice even in the dark environment.

I watch all anime in a well-lit room. I have watched tons of movies and anime episodes that plays out at night/in the dark. I've never had the same issue being able to see. But the main isssue, as I have explained in this episode and the last, is that I don't like the setting (in other words, the fact that it happens in a dingy abandoned construction site on schoolgrounds). I understand that they (apparently) used rotoscope for the fight scene, and that is very time consuming, so most likely, it worked out better for them to do it in that setting bc they didn't have to worry about animating a background, since it would have taken more time. If you liked the dark feel of the ep, you are entitled to your opinion. And I am entitled to mine.

when it comes to the fight i feel like it has to do with your room set up, since you are recording a reaction you natturaly need a well lit room, so when this fight scene comes along you can't rly see shit in a bright ass room. again i understand the situation you were in, but trust me just turn off the lights and the projectors (if you have any) and watch the scene again, you will have no problems seeing, kind of like how they turn ALL the lights off in a movie theater

Sigrid

one thing i like about this series is that antagonistic characters like Kushida and Ryuen backstories don't try to make you feel bad for them but understand why they are the way that they are
