Studio tour

I got a wild hair to add some more art to my studio walls, so I pulled some old editorial cartoons and newspaper illustrations I did back in the 90s. And got around to hanging some original art and prints that friends have sent me. Here's a studio tour, if you'd like to see the results.

I don't know what it is about artists studio layouts but I always find them fascinating to look at :)

The "Monday Business" section front is an example of a very early approach to digital illustration that I came up with. Back then I would simulate a pen line by drawing a shape, filling with black, then drawing a smaller shape on top. I'd fill the smaller shape with a color. The overlap from the black layer would be my "line."

Some of it is mine. Some of it is from people who have given me prints or originals over the years. I had a bunch of matted/framed originals from the senior thesis for my BFA degree in college. I finally pulls some of those out of storage and put them on the wall. Some other stuff is from a portfolio of my early newspaper work — illos and editorial cartoons.

That panoramic shot is cool. Love the comic art. Is all of it yours? Or is some from other people?
