Zmej and blacksmith
Added 2025-06-17 15:17:00 +0000 UTCI wanted to draw this legend for a while, tried to do it like 3-4 times and didn’t like how it looks. I think it’s time to finally draw it as a full art.
So here are the examples and elder arts as well. I took inspiration from an old book I’ve read in an early childhood. “Serpent and the blacksmith” “Nikita the tanner” “The Serpent’s shafts” - it’s all the same legend. There once was a dragon, who was terrorising the villagers, unless he meets a blacksmith/ or two of them/ or a tanner/ and he’s forced to plow the land until he reached the sea. The serpent/dragon was so thirsty, that he greedily stared to drink sea water. Drank, drank and swelled up, swelled up… and then… 💥 to much water for 3 heads and one belly
