NSFW Sketchbooks — Proof of Concept

To get this book, see the instructions here.

In a recent episode of Surviving Creativity, Scott Kurtz, Cory Casoni and I talked about the popularity of sketchbooks on Gumroad. It sounded like an intriguing idea, and since I have been collecting NSFW sketches here for the last couple years, It was a pretty simple matter to collect some of the images and rough out an ebook.

So tell me what you think. Does it look good on your tablet? Do you like the concept? What would make it even better?

To make sure there's no confusion, as a $10+ Patreon backer, you'll automatically get access to these sketchbooks as part of your rewards package. This will simply be an extra I sell on Gumroad as a way to expose (heh) new potential readers to some of the things we're doing over here.

Ok.. waaaay behind on my Patreon reading... is this posted with the monthly dropbox pages as it's no longer here?

O.K tried to open the PDF on the IPhone, to no ones surprise it REALLY didn't like that, tried it on my Amazon tablet afterwards, once it knew which program to open it with there were no problems :)

I actually have! If you look back over the last several projects, you should see lots of them!

I have that problem, too, when I try to download attachments for other Patreon campaigns thru the app. I'm hoping it's a bug they fix soon!

Brad Guigar

Viewing through the app (almost exclusively), it doesn't seem like the attachment is reachable. I see it, but nothing touchable downloads it, do i can't check it out in my phone. The app works just fine for embedded images, however.

Great ideas @Rick Greene!

Robert Gibson

Aw, nuts. :)

As a"backler", I am thrilled. Thank you!

I viewed it in the browser on my computer. Detail level was ok, telling one page from another was a little difficult based on the browser's Adobe plugin defaults. Would be interesting to see some commentary from you on the sketches (maybe not all, just highlight a few standouts, for whatever reason it stands out in your mind). Another thought would be to do a progression...show several versions of the same sketch as you take it from first rough lines to near-to-finished form. Maybe one like this every couple of editions (if you do these regularly)
