AMA — Valentine’s Day, Wonder Twins, and the day we met

Q.: It's a little late for this year, but I've noticed the "Valentine's Day Sex Drive" where various artists post (and cross link) to all of the others doing a VDSD -- have you ever considered joining this? http://vdsdaction.com/

A.: Let me tell you. I consider myself a pretty sharp self-promoter, but I am furious with myself this month. And it all boils down to the topic you bring up. I've done precious little to leverage Valentine's Day as a way to discuss my NSFW stuff! And everywhere I look, I see all kinds of ways I could have done better. For example, Slipshine's sale...

And now Valentine's Day Sex Drive — of which I had been previously unaware.

Well, I've got a reminder set for next year, so I'll most likely be participating then. And you can count on a Special Offer — similar to the Thanksgiving Day special — too.

Meanwhile, if there are any other opportunities out there that I may be missing, feel free to give me a heads-up. I can't participate in all of them, but I'm always happy to find out about new ways to spread the good word!

Q.: I seem to recall a recent image you drew about the Wonder Twins, although I can't seem to find it right now. Perhaps you'd be interested to know that they (DC) are starting a new Wonder Twins comic: https://www.comixology.com/search?search=wonder+twins -- looks interesting.

A.: You're thinking of this...

And — yeah! — the new Wonder Twins comic looks cool! I always thought that was an easily-dismissed concept that could have been expanded upon further. And if it leads to a "Wendy and Marvin" spin-off, so much the better! Seriously, though... That Stephen Byrne art looks amazeballs.

The day we met...

A couple days ago,  I posted a poll that asked how you found out about Evil Inc After Dark. (If you haven't participated yet, feel free to join us... this will be an ongoing poll.)

Nearly 200 responses later, I had a rather jaw-dropping result. Most of you arrived here by way of the Evil Inc site — nearly 80%! In an age of web publishing that's dominated by social media, I would have expected responses like Twitter (1.1%), Instagram (1.6%) and Facebook (0.5%) to yield much higher results.

(Although it's possible, I supposed that you discovered the Evil Inc site through social media and then discovered EiAD.)

That's an eye-opener, and it affirms a plan that I've had for the past year to make some major changes to the Evil Inc website. Those changes also include Patreon integration! At some point this year, you will be able to use your Patreon log-in to view EiAD and other NSFW comics/illustrations on the Evil Inc site!

It's turned out to be waaaaay more complicated than I had expected to get everything the way I envision it in my mind, but I've got some help from a ridiculously smart person who gets it. It's going to take a while before everything's the way I want it, but we're going to get there!
