No... but when I saw this, I thought maybe it should have been... <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwiBksCL0K_LAhWCFh4KHSLOBPwQjBwIBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yourememberthat.com%2Ffiles%2F2ec08f1d6ede284d.jpg&psig=AFQjCNFYGqEU1iojMAJsF15mqrX3J5zGDg&ust=1457476197176470" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwiBksCL0K_LAhWCFh4KHSLOBPwQjBwIBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yourememberthat.com%2Ffiles%2F2ec08f1d6ede284d.jpg&psig=AFQjCNFYGqEU1iojMAJsF15mqrX3J5zGDg&ust=1457476197176470</a>

Loved the Paul Lynde reference. Might it be connected to his Bewitched character?

That's actually a very interesting topic. You see, I talk at comic conventions and teach a Sequential Art class, and do podcasts, and all sorts of other stuff like that. And a lot of times, I'll speak on the topic of writing. And my advice to people is to avoid writing what you THINK will be popular, and instead, write what appeals to you. Reason being: I've seen the former lead to failure time and time again. It's hollow. It's tone-deaf. And it's insincere. And the opposite — writing the story that YOU would want to read — has, time and again, produced wonderful results. Kate Beaton is an example I use constantly. So are comics like xkcd, SMBC, Sheldon, and a whole slew of others. So, when the cloned head of Paul Lynde plunked itself down on my sketchbook, my first reaction was the same as yours — it's a dated reference that will fly right over the heads of a lot of Millennials. And I hesitated pretty seriously. But then, I decided to take my own advice. Hopefully I wasn't full of shit. :)
