2017 Calendar
Last year, I offered a special calendar featuring pin-ups from Evil Inc After Dark. The images were all SFW (no nudes). And, to be honest, the response was pretty flat. To be honest, I've offered Evil Inc calendars for several years now, and none of them have generated enough sales to justify continuing.
So I'm leaning heavily towards skipping the print calendar this year. But I keep getting this nagging feeling that I'm missing something. So here are some options. - Traditional Evil Inc calendar using half-page comics from the public site.
- Another SFW pin-up calendar.
- A NSFW pin-up calendar* with full nudity
- A NSFW calendar featuring Evil Inc After Dark pages*
- A NSFW calendar featuring Courting Disaster Uncensored cartoons*
* Any one the NSFW options will require a pre-order because I won't be able to offer this as a print-on-demand item. I'll need to work directly with a printer that accepts adult material.
Just to be clear, I'm more than happy either way. This isn't sour grapes or "boo-hoo, you didn't buy my calendar." My calendars have always been print-on-demand, so I've lost very little money when the sales weren't strong.
My sole purpose in posting this is to (A) make sure there's not an idea out there that I'm not considering strongly enough and (B) give you all an opportunity to share your thoughts on merchandise when I'm in the planning stages.

As an update... I got a wild hair this morning, and I designed what I think is a killer NSFW calendar — using NSFW commissions and Courting Disaster cartoons. It's 11x17, and has one illo and one cartoon for each month. I'm thrilled with it. The problem? Finding a print-on-demand printer that will print adult-oriented images. I've found *one*... but it locks me into a 8½ x 11 horizontal format that throws all but two of the images out the window!

2016-09-27 01:41:48 +0000 UTCI'd potentially go for a pin-up calendar, but it would depend on the artwork..."full nudity" would be less interesting to me. I'd like to see your take on something in the style of the pin-up art on WWII bombers mixed with the more risque' of the old Vargus Playboy pin-up girls...nudity, but teasingly so as opposed to full-out blatant. Just a thought.
