Wow! There's a lot going on in this update — in the scenes and behind them.
Let's start here. If you follow me on Facebook, you know I like to post the photos I take when my wife and I go on our nightly walk. One night, I posted this photo of the Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building (originally the Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company Building)... which is an annex of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It got such a positive response I mentally bookmarked it to reference later. When I needed a new building for the re-imagined Legion of Justice, I knew exactly where I wanted to go.
Speaking of which, the Legion of Justice is now Justice Ltd. It may be my warped sense of humor, but the idea of "Justice... limited" just tickled me. It also makes sense that the superheroes have to bend to the same economic forces as the rest of us.
Spy Smasher is an actual Fawcett Comics superhero from the 1940s. The character has fallen into public domain.
And, if you've never heard "Ghost Riders in the Sky," you're welcome.
