Nessa and other sketches!
Added 2021-08-26 15:46:03 +0000 UTCI've been watching Ranma 1/2 and it's really infecting my brain. I have a particular soft spot for 90's anime but I never watched Ranma as a kid, though I know i would have absolutely loved it.
There's something infectious about the way the characters are drawn that makes me want to put more Shonen in my drawings :) I always think of style as being something pretty malleable, that it changes based on the needs of the image you're currently working on. It gets me thinking that maybe for whatever my next comic ventures are that I make them a little more stripped down, even perhaps with the character drawing style. More explorations in that direction to come!
Anyways, I'm getting a handle on drawing Nessa before doing some fanart of her, next. I was surprised by how complicated her design is--at least when it comes to her hair!
