Libby Animation Loop/Alternate Witch Coloring

It's been a while since I did any substantial rambling over here. I forgot to share this Libby animation that I did at the beginning of the month and I don't want to keep forgetting!

I feel like sometimes what I try to put down in an animation like this is the same sort of feeling i hope to get in one page of a comic, except with a comic you have to show anticipation and follow through in other ways that require a lot more set up, sometimes you have to rely on a page turn to get the same kinda oomph you can get in an animation. In that way it's really gratifying to just sketch in an animation. It somehow never occurred to me to try sketching in comic pages, maybe I'll try that in my down time this month!

Second here is an alternate color to the recent witch image. I actually landed on this first because I wanted to make it match the golden palettes I've been using pretty regularly but I wasn't completely pleased with how the atmosphere was feeling.

The gold base tone works really well when the accent colors are able to serve multiple purposes but as I added in the golden back lighting up top it started to make her flesh tone turn greenish against the red cauldron light at the bottom and I felt like it'd be better to hit reset and just use a more rosey base color. I do miss how sinister the red lighting looks in this though. At least you all will get to see it in this form so it is not wasted :)
