Wednesday Miscellaneous Update (Ms. Paulene, Drawings & Gibson Girls)
Added 2022-06-22 21:45:30 +0000 UTCI admit, this is a bit of a goofy assorted update but I am overdue in terms of showing things!
My buddy GreasyMeta asked about doing a pinup for their new book in a Gibson style, so I took that on in a hurry :) It's nice to see other people finishing books--gives me more fervor to finish my own! Also I just though the character of Ms. Paulene was really cute and it's refreshing to draw a character in this style without buckets of drapery π Also I included the sloppy sketch I sent them so that they knew what i was doing :)
I've been thinking about past abandoned projects, specifically things in the Space Express vein as I've been printing/formatting old books for print (InDesign isn't sexy, otherwise I'd show more of the process) so I did these drawings of Marianne and Penny.
Finally, because I've been trying to preview my work in book form a little bit more I decided I'd try some temp stuff that would be cute... I kinda like the idea of doing an erotic interpretation of this Gibson wallpaper as an end sheet pattern. I also used an illustration that I liked on the cover but ultimately I think I'll have to go with something a bit more punchy and graphic, either in terms of composition or at the least color.
I am close to having the full comic in cleaned up, text and everything, I hope to post it later this week! I really appreciate everyone's patience with this project. I ordinarily wouldn't wait on this stuff but I don't want to make a bunch of redundant posts. So whatever state things are in on Sunday is what I'll post. That means I'll probably be starting on cover sketches soon as well. :)

While I patiently awaited their return one day I also understand the frustration that comes with not being able to complete and continue on with a project. If you never get back to them I'll understand but always continue to support your work. The girls have great comics that I'll always enjoy :D Watching you improve as time has gone is motivating and I am thankful that you are open with us when you are struggling. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.
