Evil Inc, Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019

Here's your first look at Tuesday's Evil Inc. It looks as if Yasmine Velour is positioned to become a larger threat to the superheroes than Evil Inc ever was!

Heroes -- Threat or Menace? was the headline our Champions RPG group was treated to after one of our outings. Sounds like that's what Yasmine's working toward.

That storyline coincided with the time I started to really drift away from Marvel and DC Comics. It wasn’t that storyline per se — it was a combination of things. So I really never ended up following it. However... I think you’ll find that Yasmine’s motivations are more... devious... 😀

Thank you! I wanted her to stand out. :)

Brad, I'm curious whether Marvel's "Civil War" (the 1st one) provided any inspiration for this storyline? Over a decade later, one thing still sticks in my craw about it. They treated the unregistered "heroes" WAY WORSE than homicidal villains. How many heroes were killed or dismembered while being apprehended and nobody batted an eye? Ever worse, it was often a villain that did it (e.g. Thunderbolts under under Norman Osbourne watch).

''So we decided to outlaw them, possibly forcing them to become Super-villains that we cannot do anything about!''

Yasmine Velour; love that name!

Make thwart, not war.

Greater danger to the public good: Villains or the heroes that battle them? A conundrum. Maybe if everyone would just get in a good thwart before engaging in property damage there wouldn't be a problem.
