Part of that could just be semantics as well. "My account" could mean specifically a business account which he uses for routine expenses, the way that a company might provide their executives with a corporate credit card to fuel up their vehicles or purchase airfare. Or like current military officers, who actually receive surprisingly little in bonafide wages, but significant amounts in "benefits" like a housing allotment which pays for their home, food allotment that feeds their family, and so on. All of those "benefits" are not technically part of their wage, and therefore when cut off, the actual liquid assets they have are surprisingly little. Specifically in cases like Justice Ltd, I wouldn't be surprised if the heroes actually receive very little if any real wages, and rather are just provided for by the company for needs. That way, if the hero has little or no personal assets, there is less of an issue with the heroes being individually sued, and everything can just happen on the corporate level.

Well, if he receives pay then he pays taxes which in turn means he has to a government ID. If it is a governement ID then it would be accepted by a bank even if the name isn't his legal one. However, even if he deposits his pay in a superhero owned bank I am surprised they can just freeze him like that since it is HIS money.

Patrick

Would you give a bank account to a man whose only ID says “Captain Heroic”? 😀

Brad Guigar

I'm surprised they can freeze his bank account like that. Sure, I mean I get it if it's a company account and he is locked out, but a personal one?

Patrick

She was Ms Amazing. I’ll see if I can find her bio...

Brad Guigar

Remind us please -- what was "Mrs. Heroic"'s name? and can you point us to her (old) backstory? (The one before the re-do -- did she have one of those character summary pages you sometimes posted on Sundays and such?) Yes, we don't know the current back story, or how she died, but I'm sure you'll make that available at the appointed time...

Great Scott

Don't break my heart with having Miss Match play with Cap's heart with the Evil Inc Honey Pot . Still uneasy about that O.o

Taylan

A heartwarming couple of pages; a nice counterpoint to EiAD. I like that we have these moments, sort of nice to see how Cap and Miss Match might have been before the reboot.
