This cartoon sprang out of a Writer's Room episode of the ComicLab Pro Tips series. (The version Dave Kellett came up with was... quite different...)

Speaking of my ComicLab podcast co-host... We were talking about the cancelation of Comic Con this month, and we started brainstorming ways that we could replace that experience for our readers. Here's what we're experimenting with later this month:
The question is — is something you think you'd like to participate in?
It's perfectly OK if the answer is No! This is completely experimental, and I don't have any hopes or expectations attached. If it works, it works. If not, it's something we had fun putting together.
Along those lines... if we did this in the future, what could we add to make it even better? Here's the problem I'm seeing. Every one of these virtual conventions tries to replicate the convention experience. And that's always lame. I don't want to replicate. I want to innovate. So... wild, crazy and impossible ideas are welcome. It's not going to happen this time around — or at all, for that matter — but it's a fun thought experiment.
