Introducing PleazeMe — an adult content social-media network

Social media has gotten... frustrating. Tumblr jettisoned the adult-content creators that made up a significant chunk of its traffic (and immediately fell off the planet for many users). Facebook and Instagram have draconian restrictions on anything close to sexual content. Twitter is much more relaxed, but it's also awash in a bunch of other content that's just... depressing.

If I'm being honest, I'm a little desperate for things to keep me from reflexively launching those sites.

So, I have to admit, my interest was piqued when I learned about PleazeMe, a social-media network specifically for nsfw content.

I've started posting there — a little archive content, mostly, to gauge interest. And it's definitely a little rough around the edges in terms of user experience. But if you're looking for something a little different, it has promise.

You can find me here. If you have any thoughts on making the channel more interesting to new potential Patreon backers, don't hesitate to share your thoughts! If you sign up, you can use this referral code: 2b8410e7

Also...

Speaking of building safe places to share nsfw content, be sure to check out the NSFW Gallery on the exclusive Evil Inc After Dark Discord server. We're sharing spicy illustrations and animations we find posted around the Web, and it is becoming a fantastic way to spend a few idle moments of scrolling.

If you've never access the private Discord server, here are some instructions.

They've been pushing me pretty hard to get on a phone call with them so they can "teach me" the platform. I may just take the call just so I can pass on your thoughts. (Because my experience was very similar.)

I joined up to have a look. Felt like I was applying for a job with all the questions. Got on, didn't find anything even slightly of interest... and I'm history. Oh well. Not your fault though.

Yeah... I may have been mistaken in my enthusiasm. They sent me an email asking for my thoughts on the site, and I told them — with screenshots and explanations — how I thought they were making things needlessly complex. They wrote back offering to walk me through how to use the site in a Zoom chat. That's super thoughtful and everything, but it proves the point I was trying to make. If you need a Zoom chat to explain how to use your site, you've made it needlessly complicated!
