The Ord Lord's ability was called Starved. That said you're not far off Gluttony was created by using Degenerate to merge Preditor and Starved.

2021-02-19 02:07:52 +0000 UTCI mean, I assume it could have something to do w/ how Gluttony has a pocket dimension where all kinds of loot is stored etc. So maybe dude bailed out via this space-time fuckery that enables all the loot to be in stasis w/o decaying? The only connection I can think of w/ why he used Gluttony tbh. After having watched Kumodesu, I now think that the reason it looks like Rimuru froze, was likely it's some kind of a molting (made me think of the time the MC in Kumodesu molted out of her previous skin after leveling up and thus regenerating everything), or in a Slime's case yeeting out the external "cells"/slime? Wouldn't be the first time a bamboozle like this works as a gambit for a species that can regenerate over time. It would likely make her think she killed him if true, which is a big brain gamble to buy time to get to Tempest w/o her being hot on your tail 24/7
