The Manifold Council - behind the scenes
Added 2022-05-07 17:30:28 +0000 UTCthis is another image that used a lot of 3D elements, and for the most part I kept them in as is. the real challenge was the giant mural on the floor, which depicts the three A.I. Control Minds - Tenma-00, Melchior-01, and Hepburn-02 - and how they once existed to safeguard mankind before the Roar. while the Control Minds themselves were drawn by hand with assisted symmetry, the mural was actually itself a complex 3D object, constructed in 3D space and rendered out flat to be colored/textured in clip studio.
the chamber is meant to feel oppressive and suffocating. the Manifold Council is a shadowy organization with influence over world governments, established after the Roar to enact the will of the Control Minds in their absence. they're the primary source of funding for Belville's operation, though Belville holds no love for the Council. both sides see the other as merely a means to an end, and it shows in their often tense and combative relationship, which is only exacerbated as the story progresses.
