I am an ICU nurse and am sorry to break it to you guys, but Danny and Davino are wrong. Being an organ donor on your license has no legal weight on medical decision making, it is more or less a suggestion. It just gives your family an idea of what you may have wanted after you are declared dead, but the family can also override that decision. The only thing that has legal weight is an advanced directive.
