There are very real reasons why transgender people aren't allowed in the military, the main one being the extremely high rate of mental illness it almost goes hand in hand with being trans also many people who take advantage of their military service to use the insurance to cover their extremely expensive surgeries and medications, do you really think our tax dollars should pay for someone else's dick removal, breast implants, facial re-sculpting and lifelong cocktail of drugs to keep them looking like a man or woman?

However, the specific point is that they don't want people wanting to transition to go into the military and use the military benefits to pay for the transition. Then its like this whole process of recovery and not able to be in action because of medical reasons, and yadda, yadda, yadda. But that's the jest of it. Gay, straight, bi, trans, whatever... should have the right to want to fight on behalf of their country no matter what, in my opinion.
