Baton + Baton alt. version

NOTE: the inclusion of an alt version(the second pic) is because I understand that for some of my followers, a depiction of a straight couple would ruin their ability to enjoy a drawing of mine. In that spirit and to be fair to them, I made an alt version so they could enjoy this drawing still. 

This drawing is a homage tot he very talented artist Brokencassette on deviantart. She was and still is a huge inspiration to me. Her content largely focused on her two original characters Xavier(the red head) and Ilene (the woman with glasses). Although I was gay, I really loved and identified with the romance. 

Xavier and Ilene were basically the 'it' couple to me when I was growing up. Ilene was earnest and deliberate packaged in a book-ish and smart (but smol) package paired with the gentle giant-ness of Xavier who was a teddy bear personified. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing BrokenCassette's depiction of a couple with a fat character in a happy relationship where Xavier's fatness isn't seen as something "in spite of" but rather an active part of the relationship that is enjoyable for both parties. It had been the first time I had seen that shown in gainer content. The blend of wholesome and sweet content and the saucier things from time-to-time. 

BrokenCassette's work here stands out from so many other artists for that reason. I love some smut as much as the next person but it's a real treat when someone doesn't limit themselves solely to the creation of smut content. Particularly in a kink where relationships for participants aren't so common. It is the main impetus for why I always aim to do in my own work because of what I saw with Xavier and Ilene. We got to see their love story over the years and get to know more about them as Xavier gets fatter.

The couple on the right are a new pair of OCs by Brokencassette named Eve and Jake. We are starting to see their relationship develop and it reminded me of how Xavier and Ilene were treated with their relationship being explored while we see the guy get fat. I thought what a good time as any to pay a fun homage to an artist with whom I have much respect.
