Bubba BBQ

An insanely detailed but overall simple drawing. It's the annual BBQ that Bubba's family holds and this ones special because his family is seeing the affect his marriage has had him. He's gotten so fat that he even dwarfs his father now and is significantly fatter than any of his siblings. 

By far one of my most intensive solo drawings. Drawing, coloring and shading 6 fat subjects is not easy! But man this was extremely rewarding.

I needed to draw something aggressively self-indulgent and fuck the rest. My character Bubba is near and dear to my heart and I have a lot of actual character/lore to him that I don't get to really touch on realistically speaking. People aren't as interested in that stuff and there is only so much time to draw things and there's a never ending roll out of new ideas anyway. When I first started drawing publicly, I regularly drew Bubba *and* his family members. Often times I would draw Bubba in a scenario and then draw his family in the same scenario. It was unsustainable. Eventually, I just stopped drawing them sadly. 

So allow me to introduce them. I provided a helpful guide in the 2nd picture with their names and relation to Bubba. You can also identify them by their hat, as they each have a specific hat they always wear.

Jethro (Hat with 'FAT') - The Dad. He's outwardly gruff and intimidating because he comes off stoic. But he's actually a teddy bear on the inside once you get to know him. Doesn't take no for an answer when it comes to helping folks he cares about.

Warner (Hat with 'BEEF') - Oldest Brother. He's a mellow stoner type. Far more interested in immediate pleasure and the easy life. 

Barrett (Hat with 'BEAR') - Middle Bro. Think like Ron Swanson and that's Barrett. Good with his hands, serious, doesn't like people but is super cuddly

Garrett (Hat with 'BULK') - Middle Bro. The muscly himbo brother. He's rough and tough but understand that he's just a harmless oaf. 

Bubba Snorts, is a character who belongs to the talented artist BearyBigArt  so I will not comment on him here but his inclusion was fun and he fits right in.
