Changing of the Guard - February 2025 Voting Tier Drawing

'Banana Pudding' is a story written by SkinnyGuy. It follows James (the chaser depicted in this drawing) who works as a hall monitor with Dominic Mangiano, a gluttonous and grumpy Italian security guard, for work study in college. Over the course of the story, James brings Dominic food and he gets quite large. In the end Dominic marries James cousin and gets even fatter.

I've always loved the story and I identified with James, and its rare to see a black chaser depicted in gainer fiction. But I always felt for James that he did not end up with Dominic in the end. Enter Mario Guidograsso. Guidograsso is another character from the mind of SkinnyGuy who has intermittently appeared throughout his works and is largely based on the seminal gainer art of Garthdude. My take on Guidograsso isn't quite true to form. I have taken some creative liberties by combining aspects of his character with the likes of Paul Blart portrayed by Kevin James.

My headcanon is that after the events of the story 'Banana Pudding', James learns how to cook like a proper Southerner so he can woo and fatten up a man. Practicing his cooking skills on enthusiastic taste-tester, Dominic Mangiano. James meets Guidograsso, a hapless security guard who tries and fails at being a macho italian goombah, and the two would fall in love, get hitched, and James would make Guidograsso even fatter than Dominic.

This drawing depicts what I have in mind essentially. James presumably got Dominic a job as a security guard in the office building he works at. Which allows him to bring him tubs of home cooked meals for Dominic to eat throughout the day in addition to the fast food and donuts he orders for himself. Guidograsso would be some new security guard who is more senior than Dominic and is wound too-tight for a cushy job working security for an office building. James is immediately smitten with Guidograsso and is ready to deploy the full extent of his cooking prowess to win the man's affections.

I actually attempted at writing a story to this effect and made some headway but was not able to follow through all the way. I hope to one day revisit it and these characters however. As you can tell by how much I am rambling they are very special to me!
