[MHCISQD] Chapter 271: What Is Going On?

They wasted quite a bit of time, from morning till afternoon, but finally, without any unexpected incidents, they returned to U.A.

The two individuals appeared in front of the dormitory building, so it didn't draw anyone's attention.

All Might patted Renault's shoulder and smiled, saying, "Go and attend to your own matters. I'm going to find the principal. Let me know when you're free later so we can catch up."

All Might acknowledged that it was the day of the cultural festival. Despite the unexpected events occurring, he couldn't deny himself some much-needed relaxation time.

After parting ways with All Might, Renault entered the dormitory, and unsurprisingly, didn't see anyone around.

Glancing at the clock inside the dormitory, it was already past 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

"At this time, they should be strolling around the festival, enjoying themselves."

After a moment's thought, Renault picked up his phone and dialed Mikoto's number.

"No answer?"

Perplexed, Renault listened to the continuous music playing through the phone, wondering if that girl had forgotten her phone or if something else had caught her attention.

He dialed another number and called Yaoyorozu.

"No answer either?"

Now, this was truly strange. It was understandable if Mikoto didn't pick up since she was playful by nature. But Yaoyorozu... she wasn't that type of person, right?

Moreover, Eri was here today, and the Class A students would likely focus a large part of their attention on her. With that in mind, Renault dialed Midoriya's number.

On the other side, Midoriya was playing ring toss with Eri in front of a booth, accompanied by Togata. When he heard his phone ring, he smiled and glanced at Eri's enthusiastic efforts before picking up his phone. However, his expression changed completely.

"T-T-T-Togata-senpai!"

Togata turned to him in confusion, only to see Midoriya turning the phone screen toward him. It displayed the name 'Renault' prominently, immediately capturing his attention.

But soon, a smile appeared on Togata's face. "Looks like he's back. You better answer the call."

While saying that, he gestured towards an empty area nearby.

Midoriya nodded, pressed the answer button, and ran towards the vacant spot while speaking, "Renault-kun, are you okay?"

"Ahh, sorry for worrying you all. Nothing serious happened."

"Did villains capture and teleported you somewhere?"

Renault paused. "Huh? How did you know?"

"We investigated near the teaching building, and there were no surveillance images of you leaving. Later, your younger sister came, and we guessed it must have been the work of the Nomu under the doctor's control."

"Yuriko also came? Where is she now?"

"After looking around, she said you'd be fine and would return soon, then she left directly." Midoriya's face still showed concern. "Renault-kun, is All Might with you now?"

"All Might went to find the principal. Don't worry, he's fine." Renault took a moment and stepped out of the dormitory. "By the way, Midoriya, I just called Mikoto and Yaoyorozu. Why didn't they answer?"

Midoriya shook his head. "No, after lunch, once we finished discussing your safety, we left first. Misaka and Yaoyorozu left together, and Raiden Mei joined them later. After a while, a few girls received calls and went to meet up with them. I'm not sure where exactly, but they should be somewhere inside the school."

"I see. Thanks for letting me know. I'll contact them to let them know I'm safe. Let's discuss the details later tonight on the boys' side."

"Okay."

After ending the call with Midoriya, Renault dialed Tsuyu's phone number.

Soon, the call connected.

"Tsuyu-chan, where are you guys?"

Just as Renault asked, he heard a loud rumbling noise and a piercing electrical sound coming through the receiver.

"What... what is going on?" Renault asked.

Tsuyu's voice came through, "Renault-kun, although I really want to celebrate your return, you need to come and clean up the mess you've caused. We're at the training facility."

After speaking, she hung up the phone without another word.

"..." Renault stared at his phone, feeling a cold sweat forming on his back. He immediately rushed towards the training facility.

With his speed, the training facility, which wasn't far to begin with, seemed to appear in the blink of an eye.

Upon opening the gate, a gust of wind hit him, and Renault saw Mikoto, surrounded by electricity and wielding an iron sand sword, engaged in an intense battle with Yaoyorozu, who held a shield and a spear. Even as the gate opened and he appeared, they didn't notice his presence.

Swallowing hard, Renault took a deep breath and approached the group of girls who were observing the fight.

Just as he was about to ask, Renault suddenly noticed that the expressions on these girls' faces were somewhat different from what he had imagined.

First of all, they showed no concern whatsoever for the ongoing battle. Secondly, there was no sign of dissatisfaction directed at him?

Even Tsuyu, upon seeing him, only gave him a mischievous smile without saying a word.

'What the fuck happened...' Renault felt that he couldn't grasp the changes in the situation.

Seeing Renault's expression, Tsuyu sighed helplessly and glanced at the two fighters on the field. She then picked up a megaphone that was placed next to a chair and shouted, "You can stop now. Renault is back!"

The voice echoed through the megaphone, spreading throughout the entire training ground. Mikoto and Yaoyorozu immediately stopped and looked toward Renault, who was standing next to the girls.

Mikoto quickly dispersed the iron sand sword and the electric sparks surrounding her. With a look of surprise, she rushed towards Renault and pounced directly on him.

"Senpai! Are you okay?"

Holding Mikoto in his arms, Renault gradually relaxed from his earlier nervousness. "Of course, I'm fine. Look, I'm standing here just fine, right?"

"But how did you get teleported away? You should have been able to come back immediately, right?"

Nodding, Renault replied, "Indeed, I could have. However, the place I was in was a villain base, so I had to fully investigate and deal with some villains first before coming back. There was also no signal there, so I couldn't inform you."

As he spoke, Renault also noticed Yaoyorozu, who had left her equipment behind, running over with a worried expression.

Meanwhile, the other girls seemed to have disappeared at some point.
