Renault glanced at the pile of empty bottles on the table and thought it was time to head back. It was getting late.

"I'll pay the bill. You take care of Nejire outside and wait for me," Ryukyu said without objection, getting up to settle the bill.

"Emmm~" Renault looked at Ryukyu, who had already left, then glanced at Hado, who was sleeping soundly on the table. He reluctantly put her coat on her and carried her outside.

A gust of cold wind blew, causing Hado, who was leaning on Renault, to instinctively shrink her neck and snuggle closer to Renault, seeking warmth.

Noticing Hado's reaction, Renault couldn't help but feel helpless.

One minute later, Ryukyu also came out, shivering and hugging herself tightly.

"It's still a bit cold. Let's hurry back. Renault, I'm counting on you to take care of Nejire," Ryukyu said.

Ryukyu looked at Renault in amazement. "This big sister is already tired today. I had meetings all day long, and now I just want to go back and get a good sleep. Renault watched as Ryukyu left and let out a deep sigh. Then, he got into the taxi that had stopped behind and immediately gave the driver a destination.

Since he couldn't go back to school, the only option was to take Hado back to her apartment.

Fortunately, Renault had been a guest at Hado's apartment before, so he knew the address. Otherwise, he would have had to choose a hotel or go home.

In the backseat of the taxi, Renault supported Hado, who was still fast asleep. He was certain that she wasn't pretending to sleep but had actually fallen asleep due to being drunk. No matter how much he called her, she wouldn't wake up.

But upon reflection, he realized she must have been exhausted. After all, Ryukyu had mentioned that Hado had been working outside all day. Even though she was still a student, she was already considered a Pro Hero, and graduation was only a couple of months away.

As he pondered, Renault turned his head and looked at Hado, who was soundly sleeping with her head resting on his shoulder. He couldn't help but smile and shook his head.

At last, the car stopped in front of an apartment building.

After paying the fare and carrying Hado out of the taxi, Renault took the access card from her bag and entered the apartment building.

Hado's rented apartment was on the eighth floor. Upon arrival, Renault held her in one hand and opened the door with the other.

The apartment looked similar to the previous time Renault had visited—tidy and clean.

Although Hado lived alone, she wasn't the messy type. She always kept her place clean.

After opening the bedroom door, Renault laid her on the bed, helped her take off her coat, and pulled the blanket over her.

Leaving the bedroom, he went to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water before finally sitting down on the sofa.

"Phew, finally sorted."

It had been quite exhausting, he had to admit.

But one positive aspect was that when Hado drank too much, she didn't go crazy or vomit. Instead, she obediently fell asleep, making it easier to take care of her.

"I'll rest for a bit and then go back."

Renault decided to take a break and stay here to prevent any unforeseen circumstances. He picked up his phone and started scrolling through it.

As expected, Renault's intuition proved to be correct.

After about ten minutes, a voice came from the still-open bedroom door—it was Hado.

"Drink... driiiink..."

Hastily getting up, Renault poured another glass of water and brought it into the bedroom. He saw Hado pulling away the covers and moving around restlessly while muttering.

"Here!"

Placing the glass on the table, Renault helped her sit up against him and then offered her the water, carefully feeding it to her.

In the blink of an eye, she finished the glass of water.

Moving her mouth, Hado mumbled drowsily, "This drink tastes so weak."

Renault rolled his eyes directly. After drinking that much, she still thought of alcohol.

It seemed he would have to make sure she didn't drink too much in the future.

While thinking about it, Renault assisted her in lying back down and covered her with the blanket.

Just as he was about to get up, he felt his hand being held. He turned his head and saw Hado grabbing his hand and rubbing against it before falling back asleep.

"Still not awake."

Raising his free right hand, Renault gently tapped her cheek. Hado only moved her head slightly, but her grip on his hand tightened.

Helplessly, Renault sat on the edge of the bed, allowing Hado to hold onto him.

He could only wait until she released her grip in her sleep before he could leave.
