[MHCISQD] Chapter 349: Talks

Tsukasa was well aware that Renault wasn't old enough to drink, but he didn't care about such things. He treated Renault as an equal.

The two of them were in the backyard of the inn, enjoying a small drink.

As they sipped their drinks, they engaged in lively conversation.

It was during this time that Renault learned that Tsukasa had only been in their world for three days and had assumed the role of a hotel waiter.

During these three days, he hadn't ventured outside much. Apart from his regular job, he had been busy gathering information about this new world.

After all, this world was quite different from the ones he had known before.

Most of the people he had encountered here possessed various unique 'Quirks.' Watching the actions of the Pro Heroes on television, he even felt that his identity as Kamen Rider was somewhat ordinary. Apart from being slightly more powerful, he didn't stand out much.

"Well, this world is indeed as you described it, full of diverse 'Quirks,' but with that comes a lot of trouble. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a need for Pro Heroes," Renault said, swirling the clear liquid in his glass. "Just take Japan, for instance. There's always something happening. If you watch the news, you must have seen reports about those monsters, Nomu, right?"

Tsukasa nodded. "Absolutely. Those creatures are quite similar to the Kaijin I encountered in other worlds. Many of them were originally ordinary people who underwent modifications. And I've also gone through recent news. The former Number One Hero, All Might, retired due to injuries?"

"All Might, yeah..." Renault sighed before continuing, "During the battle of Kamino, they finally dealt with that old monster, All For One. It was a culmination of the efforts of generations of heroes like All Might. Unfortunately, due to his injuries and passing on his Quirk, he couldn't continue as a Pro Hero. But well..."

Renault grinned mysteriously at Tsukasa, taking out his phone and showing a picture to him.

Tsukasa looked at the photo and froze.

"This is... Number One? You mean..."

Renault confirmed with a nod. "Yeah, I healed All Might's injuries. While I couldn't help with his Quirk, I had some other methods. I gave him the Typhoon Belt of Number One. He hasn't used it much, but it's an additional tool. After all, he's a teacher at U.A. Our students have faced quite a few challenges this year."

"Tsk tsk. First, there was Build, then the Evil Rider Evolto, and now you're telling me you even have Number One's belt. Don't tell me you're hiding more stuff."

"I am indeed hiding something. I also have W's belt, but I doubt we'll need that anytime soon."

Tsukasa sighed and shook his head, then reached into a silver light curtain that appeared beside him and pulled out an old-fashioned camera with a reddish hue.

"That..."

Renault looked at the object and hesitated for a moment before suddenly realizing what it was.

Seeing Renault's expression, Tsukasa explained while fiddling with the camera, "This camera has been with me through many worlds. It's the one I've used up to now."

With that, he aimed the lens at Renault and pressed the shutter button.

He retrieved the photo paper and shook it twice. Renault's clear image appeared in the photo, remarkably detailed.

"Your world is truly something else."

Taking the photo, Renault looked at his sharply defined features and raised an eyebrow.

He knew that Tsukasa's photographs were never this clear. Tsukasa claimed it was because the world rejected him.

But who really knew the reason? It might just be that his photography skills were lacking.

"I'll take the photo, I don't really like the idea of a guy keeping my picture..." Renault said as he pocketed the photo. He continued to drink with Tsukasa.

The two bottles of sake were quickly emptied, and just as Tsukasa was called away by the innkeeper to do some work, the two of them parted ways.

Back in the room, after changing into a yukata, Renault headed straight down to the hot springs. Taking advantage of the others not having returned yet, he had the men's bath all to himself for a while.

Meanwhile, the guys seemed more intrigued by what had happened with Midoriya, so they returned to the inn earlier.

Upon entering the men's bath and finding Renault already there, they followed suit, taking their places in the hot springs.

"Feels so good..."

"Way too relaxing! I wish I didn't go to the festival!"

"It was like a nightmare."

Hearing Tokoyami's comment about it being a 'nightmare,' Renault opened his eyes. "What's wrong, wasn't the festival fun?"

Tokoyami shook his head. "It's not that, it's just that the people at the festival were too enthusiastic."

In a back-and-forth conversation, Renault understood the reason behind it.

The festival was crowded with people, and when the crowd got big, although the number of girls increased, so did the number of 'brats'.

With these brats around, it was too chaotic to enjoy anything. Even a simple game like throwing darts and winning small prizes was disrupted by a few troublemakers. As a result, Kirishima spent a lot of money on several rounds of darts against those little rascals.

In hindsight, he strongly believed those brats were hired by the vendors!

After their hot spring soak, everyone got ready to gather upstairs; the main event for the evening was about to begin.

At the same time, the girls had just returned and were preparing to enjoy the hot springs.

However, this time, Grape had no intention of peeping. Leaving aside the fact that several of the girls had connections to Renault, just Renault's younger sister, Yuriko, being there was enough to squash any desire he had to spy.

He wanted to live a little longer.

On the girls' side, things were definitely more lively compared to the guys. Young and beautiful girls filled the hot springs, creating a misty, almost fairy-tale-like atmosphere.

After soaking for a while, the girls began to chat.

With their actions no longer hidden, everyone was aware of Renault's situation with multiple girls, so the conversation shifted from Yaoyorozu and Mikoto to the topic of romance.

Among Class A's guys, there were quite a few catch-worthy individuals, like Todoroki, Ojiro, and Kirishima. Taking it to the extreme, even Bakugo's personality had changed somewhat recently, making him more easygoing.

Just as the guys chatted about girls, the girls' talk naturally revolved around guys.

Once that topic was brought up, it became hard to rein it in. Gradually, they uncovered certain hidden feelings within a few of the girls.
