He closed the webpage and cleared his browsing history. Then, holding his teacup, he left his room and headed downstairs.

Downstairs, Yuriko was the only one there, and by the looks of it, she had just finished her shower.

"Did Mikoto and the others go to shower?" Renault asked as he handed Yuriko a cup of warmed milk and took a seat beside her.

Yuriko nodded and said, "Mikumo already take a shower. Hado Nejire and Mikoto are probably in the bathroom right now. Oh, by the way, Hado Nejire mentioned she's staying over tonight."

"...They didn't bother telling me, their host?" Renault grumbled.

Yuriko shot him a sidelong glance. "Don't you understand the gender ratio at home?"

"Alright, I get it..." he admitted.

As Yuriko had pointed out, the gender balance at home was seriously skewed, and he often found himself without a say in such matters. Nevertheless, he didn't really mind. Whether it was Mikoto or someone else, they were all responsible individuals. Even Yuriko herself couldn't be bothered with such things.

Overall, Renault's life was quite comfortable.

He encouraged Yuriko to rest early and headed upstairs with a glass of milk.

With no schoolwork or off-campus work-study, Renault suddenly found himself with some free time.

After finding an action film to watch, Mikoto and Hado finished their shower and came looking for him.

"Senpai, want to play a game together?" Mikoto asked.

"A game?" Renault asked, taking off his headphones and turning to look at the two of them in short sleeves. "Aren't you guys cold like that?"

They both shook their heads.

"Just got out of the shower, feeling a bit warm. We'll change once we're back in the room. So, are we playing or not?" Mikoto insisted.

"I'm not playing. I haven't finished the movie yet. You two go ahead." Renault replied.

Before he could put his headphones back on, Mikoto walked over, snatched them away, and pulled him up by the arm.

"Come on, let's go!"

Hado joined in, grabbing Renault's other hand, and with eager expressions, they said, "Let's play a game together!"

Seeing their enthusiastic faces, Renault sighed and agreed. Together, they went to Mikoto's room and started playing Mario Kart.

They played until late at night, and Renault finally insisted they stop. He turned off the game console and headed back to his own room.

Today, Hado was staying over, and she had mentioned that she would be sharing a room with Mikoto. So, Renault would be sleeping alone.

However, when he returned to his room, he saw Mikumo lying on the side of the bed with an open book on her chest.

Quietly approaching, Renault took the book and placed it on the table. He then carefully lay down beside Mikumo, tucked in the sheets, and turned off the room's light.

After a while, Mikumo, lying beside him, slowly snuggled up to Renault, wrapping her arms around his waist. Her breathing gradually became calm and steady.

Peaceful days continued for three more days. After finishing his training class at school, Renault received a call from Tsukasa.

"Hey, are you around? Come out for dinner."

"Are you back? You didn't actually bring your whole family with you, did you?" Renault asked skeptically, taking a sip of his sports drink.

"What, you think I'm joking? Come and see for yourself." Tsukasa said, giving Renault an address and insisting he come over for dinner before hanging up.

'This guy really did it...' Renault thought to himself as he ended the call.
