[MHCISQD] Chapter 411: Emerging from the Shadows

Half an hour later, Aizawa, accompanied by Togata, Renault, and Hado, left the hospital room. Recovery Girl still needed to check Nighteye's abdominal injury, so it would take some more time.

Togata's injuries weren't severe, but due to Nighteye's condition, he decided not to leave the hospital just yet. He planned to stay a few more days to assist with Nighteye's care.

Before they parted ways, Togata called out to Hado, "This incident has reminded me that there might be villains lurking around us in unexpected corners. So, Nejire, be extra cautious when you're out on missions, okay? I've already informed Amajiki about it, but you, in terms of attention to detail, need to step it up a bit."

"You don't sound like you're genuinely concerned..." Hado grumbled and nodded. "I get it, and I won't be going on solo missions anytime soon. I will be careful!"

"That's good." Togata felt reassured. He may have had a mishap, but he didn't want anything to happen to Amajiki and Hado, with whom he had worked hard for three years.

After bidding farewell to Togata, the three of them returned to the car.

Aizawa sat in the driver's seat and said to the two in the back, "Although Nighteye didn't uncover any concrete leads, the attack on them suggests that the League of Villains is emerging from the shadows. This might just be the beginning."

"We've been expecting this, haven't we?" Renault shrugged, leaning back comfortably in his seat. "The League of Villains couldn't hide forever; it was only a matter of time. And this time, they've come forward voluntarily, firing the first shot. Didn't Nighteye say the informant might be compromised? Whether it's accurate or not, starting from that informant should yield some clues."

Hado, in agreement, appeared somewhat concerned. "But Shigaraki Tomura's power seems to have really grown. Mirio shouldn't have lost to him; not only couldn't he protect Sir Nighteye, but he also got injured himself."

Indeed, Togata had also been injured, which caught Renault off guard.

"That's why Togata-senpai said that. Senpai, you should be careful too." Renault advised.

"Hehe, are you worried about me?" Hado leaned closer to Renault, asking cheerfully.

Sitting in the driver's seat, Aizawa immediately felt a shiver run down his spine. He started the car right away and began heading back to the school.

However, halfway there, Aizawa received another phone call. He made a U-turn and changed the car's destination.

Driving while talking, Aizawa said, "In an abandoned warehouse, they found extensive signs of a battle, bloodstains, and human remains. The method used resembles Shigaraki Tomura."

"Warehouse, battle, and casualties?" Renault started to feel surprised. "Is Shigaraki acting so frequently now? Do we know the identities of the casualties?"

Aizawa shook his head. "The police investigative team is on their way. It was discovered by a security guard on patrol. We'll find out the specifics when we reach the scene."

Ten minutes later, the three arrived at the scene, where the police had just arrived as well.

After showing their credentials, the three entered the scene.

Renault then saw the area cordoned off, with extensive destruction. The concrete floor was littered with chunks and dust, sinking more than a meter deep.

Among the debris, one could faintly make out severed limbs and bones.

"Ugh..."

Upon seeing this, Hado immediately closed her eyes and covered her mouth, leaning against Renault's shoulder and almost throwing up.

Renault remained expressionless, gently patting Hado's back. "Senpai, if you're feeling unwell, you can wait outside for us."

Shaking her head, Hado whispered, "It's okay, I'll just hide behind you."

Renault couldn't help but feel like this girl was doing it on purpose.

Shaking his head, Renault allowed her to pull on his clothes and followed her.

They didn't go all the way in; the forensic team was examining the body. Renault only moved a bit closer, listening to Aizawa and the lead officer discussing the situation.

"The damage to the floor here is undoubtedly caused by a Quirk, and it's extremely severe. Since this warehouse has been vacant for a long time, the surveillance equipment was also offline, so there are no useful recordings from inside or outside."

"Does anyone usually come in here?"

The officer shook his head. "Apart from security patrols, no one else is allowed in here, and there's nothing of value. The patrol officers only heard unusual noises and came to check, that's when they found this situation. However, based on the way this Quirk caused the damage, we've narrowed down our list of fugitives, and only one person matches."

"Shigaraki Tomura..." Aizawa frowned. "Mind if I take a few photos?"

"You can, but don't share them."

"I know the basic rules." While speaking, Aizawa took out his phone and took a few pictures of the scene before leaving with Renault.

Once they were in the car, they could finally head back to school.

"By the way, why didn't All Might go to the hospital today? With his relationship with Nighteye, it's unusual for him not to come." Renault suddenly remembered and asked Aizawa.

"All Might went to a meeting at the Hero Public Safety Commission today. It should have just ended, and he'll be on his way there." Aizawa replied as he drove.

"I see, that explains why I didn't see him today."

Nodding, Renault turned to Hado beside him. "Senpai, can you let go of my clothes now?"

"Eh?"

Hado Nejire blinked at Renault, and under his continued gaze, she sheepishly released her grip.

"Hey, Renault, Renault..."

"What?"

"We saw some unpleasant stuff earlier. Can we have something to eat tonight that doesn't remind us of it?"

Renault smirked and leaned his head against the car window, choosing to ignore Hado.

Hado's innocence was genuinely endearing. Even though she had been disgusted a moment ago, she could quickly switch gears and immerse herself in something she liked.
