[MHCISQD] Chapter 412: Care About Hado-senpai?

After returning to school, Aizawa went straight to the principal's office.

Meanwhile, Renault and Hado had lunch together in the cafeteria and then headed back to the dormitory.

As Hado had mentioned earlier, she had little appetite and only ate a bit of sushi. Renault, on the other hand, had no problem with his appetite and ordered a large bowl of ramen, finishing it all.

When they returned to the dormitory, most of the students were gathered in the common room for a study session, while a few were absent, including Bakugo, Todoroki, and Midoriya.

Upon entering, Renault looked around and asked, "Where are the others? Are they off training?"

Yaoyorozu, who had just finished a math problem, nodded and replied, "Bakugo and Todoroki said they didn't need to review and went off to train separately. Midoriya, on the other hand, left with All Might."

It made sense since both Todoroki and Bakugo consistently performed well in their academic subjects and weren't keen on group study sessions. As for Midoriya, it seemed he went to visit Nighteye with All Might, considering his work-study with Nighteye's office.

After Renault brought down two books from his room, he leisurely started reading in the common room.

Hado looked around, realized she had nothing to do, and took out her phone, plugging in her earphones to quietly watch TV shows in a corner.

"Are you going back?" Renault asked.

Hado shook her head. "No way, I'm still waiting for dinner."

As time passed, it was already 3 PM when Renault rubbed his eyes and woke up from a nap. He checked the time and thought, "Oh, it's time to make dinner."

Indeed, he had dozed off shortly after starting to read, lying on the sofa in the common room, snoring away.

Yaoyorozu noticed but didn't disturb Renault. She let him rest and even fetched a blanket from upstairs to cover him.

Later, when Renault reached the kitchen, Hado, who had finished watching three episodes of a TV show, suddenly realized what was happening and hurried to the kitchen.

"Renault, Renault! What are we having for dinner tonight?"

"Mashed potatoes and tomato bisque." Renault replied.

With each dish Renault mentioned, Hado's face darkened a bit more. She went behind Renault and playfully pounded his back with her fists to express her dissatisfaction.

However, despite her attempts to vent her frustration, she didn't use much force and it felt more like a massage.

After enduring the pummeling for a while, Renault said, "I was just joking. We'll have a hot pot for dinner to warm up.".

"That sounds about right." Hado said, satisfied, and patted Renault's shoulder before leaving the kitchen. "Make it good, or I'll file a complaint!"

'Did you think this is a restaurant?' Renault retorted inwardly.

In the living room, as the study session came to an end and Yaoyorozu took a break, she noticed the expression on Hado's face when she came out and asked with a smile, "Senpai, why are you so happy?"

"Hehehe, Yaomomo, I just asked, and Renault is making hotpot for dinner tonight!"

"Oh, I see." Yaoyorozu recalled that at lunchtime, Renault had messaged her about making some hotpot broth with dormitory ingredients. She couldn't help but glance at Hado.

"Senpai, did something happen while you were out earlier?"

"Well, about that..." Hado thought for a moment, looked towards the kitchen, then leaned in closer to Yaoyorozu's ear and lowered her voice as she explained today's events.

She felt that even if she didn't say it, Renault would eventually tell Yaoyorozu. So, there was no harm in sharing the information.

Yaoyorozu listened, and she was both surprised and understood the reason All Might had gone with Midoriya.

After chatting for a while, Hado went off to take a shower, and Yaoyorozu headed to the kitchen.

"Do you need any help?"

Upon hearing Yaoyorozu's voice, Renault shook his head. "No need, you've already prepared the soup base for me. I can handle the rest on my own; it's not that complicated."

With no one else around, Yaoyorozu felt more at ease. She walked up behind Renault, hugged his waist, rested her cheek against his back, and with her eyes closed, she said, "I thought you might enjoy watching Hado-senpai make a fool of herself."

Renault continued his actions, smiling as he asked, "Oh? Did she tell you?"

"She mentioned your trip to the hospital and the scene of the incident." Yaoyorozu replied while gently nuzzling Renault's back. She spoke softly, "You seem to care a lot about Hado-senpai."

"Do I? I think it's pretty normal."

"Hmm... is that so? Well, if it's just Hado-senpai, I don't mind. Mikoto and Mikumo feel the same way anyway."

Renault sighed. "Why is it that when you girls gather, you always end up discussing bizarre stuff?"

"What's wrong with that? It's just us talking about things that interest us. And don't think I don't know that when guys get together, they don't always discuss serious matters either."

Renault had no response to that.

"Anyway, let's not dwell on this topic. There's no need to worry too much. Things are fine as they are now."

"Are you just going to leave Hado-senpai's feelings for you hanging like that? That's not fair to her."

After some thought, Yaoyorozu released herself from Renault's embrace.

"I think I'll go talk to her tonight. If you truly have no intentions, I'll help her let go of those ideas."

"Sure, it's your decision."

"... You seem quite happy about it?"

With the vegetables chopped, Renault put down the knife, turned to face Yaoyorozu, gently held her chin, and smiled. "In this situation, wasn't that what I was supposed to say? It should make you happy, right?"

"That's true. I'm glad to hear it." Yaoyorozu laughed and gently removed Renault's hand before leaving the kitchen.

"I'll talk to her, but for the outcome, you'll have to wait and see. I'm sure it won't be a bad thing."

As he watched her walk away, Renault couldn't shake the feeling that she was up to something.
